This is a very old hotel and it is undergoing renovation
Rooms are small, very old and odd layout. It is just a 2 star hotel, breakfast at basement which is worse than our hawker centre in Singapore. The lobby look accepted but do not being deceived until check into the room. TV is not the plasma but the old bulky model
Amenities is minimal, please bring your own

Room Tip: Try to book other hotel

The hotel is situated just outside of Taipei’s 西門町 and the train stations. We liked the location of the hotel as it is not noisy and conveniently located near major shops and eateries.

The rooms are small and most of its fixtures are dated. The toilets are clean but old. It is a place for easy-going travelers seeking purely for a good night sleep. The television reception is average but surprisingly, it has a long list of programmes (free-to-air and cable channels) for a small hotel.

Frontline staff are friendly and helpful. They are very patient in explaining/guiding hotel guests to various destinations.

The first foot in the door the hotel seems nice but after check-in when you walk to your room you feel the walls closing in on you. Everything was clean (thank goodness) but the rooms are tiny. The bathroom was so tiny that the shower nozzle was just above the toilet. The service wasn't quick but it was polite.

I booked for this hotel for my recent trip, from 31st oct to 6th nov 2011. I was with my mum for a leisure trip.

It is a okay hotel for budget travelers. However, I believe there is a much better choice of hotel available in Taipei.

It's a chore finding the hotel upon reaching Taipei. As you ain't familiar with the place when u touched down, it's prolly a pain carrying your luggage through the streets of ximending finding the hotel. Most importantly, there isn't any freego bus or any bus from airport direct alighting at e hotel so you really got to google map and print out the maps to find the hotel. You may wish to save the money spend on cab fare from Taoyuan Airport to hotel for better cause. It's approximate NT1000 to reach there.

However, once u checked in e hotel and get familiar with the area, it's not a bad hotel after all, in location wise. It's super near ximengding. You will never get yourself hungry with local food just a road away. Btw, Yong He is just across the street!

I had a pretty bad experience on the first night. I knew this hotel through forum and initially wanted to get Rainbow hotel but it was fully booked during the period. Second choice was Paradise. The first night checked in, I was given a super small room that my luggage couldn't even fully open. And the worse thing is that the isn't any windows! I was given on a room on the 2nd storey. E room was soo cramped up that my mum and I didnt have a good rest on e first night.

The next morning, I requested for a room change. I was finally given a room more comfortable on 7th floor! I could finally fully open my luggage in the room and had a window. in fact, my mum and I enjoyed e rest of our nights in this room.

Customer service was not that fantastic. And the breakfast is not recommended as well! It's just normal bee hoon, bread, ham etc. Do grab breakfast out of hotel, because there are tons of better food out of hotel. And can packet back to hotel room for full relaxation and enjoyment!

There is foot reflexology opp hotel. For massage lovers like me, it's a super plus point.

Well, end of e day, if you ain't mind the initial chore of finding the hotel or walking for 10mins to 15mins every time you go to the subway and on a budget, it's still a choice to consider. However, do research for more hotel as I believe there is much better ones out there.

Room Tip: Always indicate to have a room with window

The service staff in this hotel are very friendly, and the room is clean and spacious. Definitely value for money. The hotel is situated just next to the shopping area of Ximenting, and there are many shops selling local food. Should try the "white bitter gourd juice with honey", something unique here.

This hotel was recommended to us by my brother who stayed here with his family last year. I would say that this is a good hotel taking into consideration of its location and rates and will recommend it to friends.
We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights. Room given to us was clean with window as requested by us when we made the bookings online.
The bathroom was clean and quite spacious. The bed was comfortable and clean. Combs, tooth brushes, tooth paste.. were all provided.
The room was cleaned daily during our stay here. There was no unpleasant smells in the room. Air-condition was OK.
The location of the hotel is good with plenty of shops and restaurants around. The Ximen MRT Station is just 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Travel by MRT in Taipei is very convenient.
Lots of good food in Raohe St. Night Market and of course there is the famous Shilin Food Square.
Taipei is a nice place for holiday. We have an enjoyable and memorable holiday here. Definitely we will come back again!
