“Educational and beautiful”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

The Memorial is a must for visitors to Taipei as it is a key to understanding the islands cultural and political background along with a beautiful park and gardens to relax in the busy city. Escape the traffic and enjoy a day seeing marvels and understand the true Taiwan.

“Worth visit - do follow up with visit to Shilin Official Residence”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

The march during the change of guard is a little bit too long for me - I was wondering when is it going to finish, even though it was performed with in perfect synchronization and beautifully choreographed. A place where you can catch a glimpse of the CKS as a public figure, his life accomplishment, learn who he was and his contribution. Do follow up with a visit to Shilin Official Residence, the former residence of the late ROC President, where one can see a more private and personal side of his life.

If you are a stamp collector (not the postage stamp but rubber stamp) you would be happy with the number of stamps available at the memorial to be added to your collection.

Impressive from the outside, with nice gardens. The inside was a little underwhelming though I might have got more from it had I read up on the man a little more.

“Beautiful memorial”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

With the concert halls before it, the Chaing Kai Shek Memorial is quite grand. I traveled in the morning, when there were not too many people out.

“memorable.”

The railway station gives you an idea of the lavish surrounds that take you to the Memorial Hall. The changing of the guard is crowded but worth the crush. take the time to walk around the grounds ro see the lakes and gardens.Good days outing.
