I have stayed 2 different types of rooms during my visit to Taipei. The hotel is near the Ximen station (about 5 mins walk from Exit 6) and it has 2 floors inside a 11 floors (if I didn’t remember wrongly) building. The first two nights I stayed a superior room without window which is located at 6th floor, same floor with the reception. The room given is just beside the reception and therefore may hear some noises if people talking too loud outside.
The room is a bit small and may not be bright enough, but since the hotel was just for us to rest and shower, I think this is not an issue. The bed is comfortable, the room and bathroom are clean. There are also free drinks (2 mineral water, 2 cans of soft drinks, coffee and tea) and biscuit provided in this room.
There are 2 computers near the reception (which are actually outside our room), free for use and free Wifi in room. You will be given free gift (we received keychain) after you like their facebook page. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. But, on the night before we checked out, we requested a morning call because we need to catch the high speed rail in the morning. However, we did not receive the morning call. Luckily, we were able to wake up and they apologized after we informed the staff about this incident.
We left our luggage free of charge at the hotel and came back again after 3 days. The 2nd room we stayed was standard double room without window which is located at 8th floor. This room is smaller as it is cheaper but brighter than the superior room we stayed earlier. It does not have wardrobe but only hanger. If you have 2 big luggages, I think this room might not be suitable. Free drinks (mineral water, 2 cans of soft drinks, coffee and tea) and 2 packets of snacks are provided. The bathroom has small bathtub as compared to the superior room we stayed earlier.
I would give a 3.5 stars to this hotel due to the cleanliness, staff helpfulness and the good location. I would recommend the superior room which is preferably not near the reception area to avoid noise.
