Adequate but not a top hotel. Limited room amenities; mini bar is three cans of beer and two soft drinks; spartan furnishings; little space to unpack; extremely limited room service menu. All dismaying when you arrive at 10 pm. There is one unique service. The Guest Services guide lists "Condom/Lubricant Services" available be contacting the Bell Captain Desk. We will return to our usual hotel next visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor.

I have stayed in some great hotels around the world and this definitely has to be one of them. The Okura Prestige is amazing in all sense. The staff is very well trained and always there to take care of even the smallest things. The rooms are lavishly decorated with very good quality wooden furniture, marble floors, television in the bathroom/shower room and electronic toilets. The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets offer a large selection of different cuisine and are usually packed which is testament to the quality of food the hotel serves! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Teipei and definitely the place where I will be staying whenever I am visiting.

Special thanks to Davie on front desk who arranged a room for me especially during the busy Christmas period.

Wanna be cuddle by hotel and staff? Go for The Okura! Fantastic business centrally coated hotel, luxury with intimate service, close to everything! Great bellboys, concierge team, reception. Money change? No problem and the best rate. Subway? 5 mins. Taxi? Just in front of the property. Need some recommendation or transportation - just ask. Breakfast? Good for europeans, excellent for asians (I think so). This is the perfect example of city centre hotel in beautiful Taipei city and you'll never regret to book the one.

I've stayed at some really nice hotels (Hawaii, Australia, Europe..ect). I would say the room at the Okura Prestige is probably the best hotel room I've ever stayed in (minus the view). Everything is super upgraded: shower/tub with tv, marble tiles everywhere, main electric switch for all lighting and blinds, separate toilet room with bidet/seat warmer, cappuccino maker, and oh-so comfy bed. Service is top rated and the next time I go back to Taipei i'm staying there for sure. You can't go wrong!
Location is good also, about $2US cab ride from main train station and 2 blocks from mall and subway.

Room Tip: get a higher floor room for better view, or else you see the run down building across the street

From arrival throughout the stay the staff went out of their way to meet our every need, finding and booking restaurants (addresses in Taipei are not very precise), advising on attractions and transport ... Even sorting out a failed safe at short notice. The hotel is just over a year old and very luxurious with large rooms and every amenity. Location is close to a metro station and 5mins by taxi from the main station so easy access (everywhere in Taipei is a taxi/metro ride away). This is one of the very best 5 star hotels we have ever stayed in and would definitely return.

Room Tip: Rooms are all large and comfortable.

This was a very good new hotel in a very convenient location. While the room was good sized but not especially large, the layout with sliding door in the front bathroom area made the room seem very spacious. The service and staff were wonderfully attentive, the top floor spa and pool were wonderful, it was rainy and winter, and could still swim in the warm outdoor hotel pool with a view of the city. The workout facilities were good. Good fast elevators.

Disappointed by the selection of complimentary room teas and bathroom toiletries, no brand name and could not discern quality. The buffet breakfast was not out of the ordinary hotel fare for this caliber.

Large lobby area, but lots of wasted space, small sitting area, generally crowded. We had a problem with the room temperature, too hot at certain times of the day.

Overall great week long stay of the hotel. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

The staffs are very nice and help you actively.
The hotel is new and made us feel very uncomfortable.
The bath is good with the TV.
It's just little far from the mtr station, but it's still ok to spend 5 minutes to walk there.
And there are many good cafes nearby.
