Superb service. Large hotel in a good location. Nice interior design.
Rooms are large and 4-star quality.
Breakfast is average with a wide selection.
Many groups frequent the hotel.
Easy to get taxis there.

Arrived here during the night on the 8th Nov and stayed here for 2 nights. Came because it's part of a CTC tour package. Hotel looks grand and when we entered the hotel, wow it was large! My family was arranged for rooms 937 and 936 on the 9th floor. The rooms were at the circled shaped area and therefore the room were a little larger in interior than usual. The hotel itself has 5 lifts for guests use which is sufficient enough. The rooms we got faces the back alley and usually it was quiet. Free WiFi access is available throughout the whole hotel but WiFi in the rooms required a unique PIN number in order to access the Internet, which is provided with the room card envelope. The room seem a little dated but still sufficient. There isn't much interesting TV shows available on the TV too but sometimes there is. The bathroom is quite spacious too with a bathtub available. They also provide a tea sachets, sugar packs and coffemate for guests to use. The room attendant did quite a good job in keeping the room clean and tidy too.
Had breakfast for two mornings in the hotel. The breakfast served were in a buffet-styled and there were a great variety of food available and foods were replenished quite quickly. The service in the restaurant were also quite efficient too. Do remember to come down for breakfast not so late as foods variety would get lesser when time goes.
Spent some time strolling along the hotel and there was some souvenir shops available too. The thing that came to delight is there is 7-ELEVEN available in the hotel which is very convenient. There is one cafe shop which is owned by the hotel too. To my surprise that there is an IKEA store at the other side of the hotel! It is at the basement of the hotel. There is a shopping mall just right close to the hotel and it has a department store and a McDonald outlet at there too but the mall opens at 11am and we were there at around 10 am so no chance to get in.
Taipei Arena(台北小巨蛋) is just a junction away from this hotel which is great for concert fans who came from overseas to catch a concert there.
Overall the hotel is great and decent and for its price it's quite great in Taipei City and would reccommend it.

Room Tip: Choose rooms that faces the street and Taipei Arena but if you want some quietness you should choose...

Central Taipei location, very clean rooms and excellent breakfast buffet. Just renovated, and much better than I expected for the price! Very helpful employees went the extra mile when my flight was delayed by the typhoon - they spent at least 30 min on the phone with the Delta rep.

The hotel is located at a very convenient spot in Taipei city, near to MRT and shopping areas. Service is good. Room is clean but some tourists are far too noisy.

Lack of international perspective - it will also be better if they can put Bible in the rooms and allow BBC to satisfy international travellers.

Room Tip: some tourists are really too noisy; keeping lift at some floors for a long time ..hotel should be ca...

Stayed here in beginning of October with a load of mates for a weekend of football.

Quite a big hotel and has some nice design features but the rooms are basic and in need of a refurb. Breakfast not bad but quite pricy. Check in/out was quick and staff were pleasant and helpful.

Past it's heyday and needs to catch up with modern times but not a bad place.

Location is about 40 mins from airport. Not too far from
Taipei 101. Have a look around the outside of the hotel as there are some nice little food shops and restaurants nearby. There is also a good 7/11 on the ground floor accessible at back of hotel.

Most of reviews are true and helpful

I stayed in this hotel in oct 2013 for just 2 nights since reading the reviews prior to my booking and I am not sure if there were true. Therefore, I gave it a try.
The hotel is in good location, convenient and stuff are friend. However, the hotel is old and dated. The big concern is the smell of moisture in the room is unbearable. You have to constantly log in if you set your iPad in energy save mode.

STAY: I stayed here for 5 days with another friend.
LOCATION: The location is quite convenient. About 5 minutes walk to the MRT. If you take a taxi, and say the address, they might be unsure. But if you tell them Momo; theyll usually get the point.
ROOM:The room had its own balcony and the rooms were huge. Even though the interior wasnt all that fancy or new, it was fine as it provided chairs, tables, hair dryer, shampoo, slippers and all that. They had a mini fridge as well. All that was missing, were robes.
SERVICE: The room service food were pricey, but there is a McDonalds near the MRT as well as a 711 aprox 3 min walk from the hotel. Theres a few Western restaurants right next door if your looking for something in the day time/evening. The hotel had good service as their English was proficient and they helped with hailing cabs and telling them the address in Mando.
ENVIRONMENT: Previous reviews said they were under construction and that it was loud, but that wasn't the case for me. I mean, of course the hotel isnt GRAND, but its definately okay to live in, no bugs or whatnot. Wifi provided also.

For the price that I paid, this hotel was great. Id definately stay here again.
