“Middle of the road hotel”

Stayed here for three nights. The location is good but the rooms are really small and for some strange reason, the renovated rooms do not have drawers or shelves. Not exactly sure where you're supposed to put your clothes. While I was there, the hotel seemed to primarily cater to tour groups. As such, breakfast in the restaurant can be chaotic as everyone showed up at the same time.

Staye here on biz trip back in June. Convenient location as located just opposite the Taipei Central Station. Excellent connections to everywhere, be it via subway, rail (or high speed rail) and even bus. Stayed in a recently renovated room. Buffet breakfast selection is good.
Unfortunately, due to the heavy traffic along the main road, the windows are clearly not sound proof.

Room Tip: Choose those away from the main road.

We stayed here for 4 days when we first arrived in Taipei. It looked amazing, very up market but it was difficult to find the bar and breakfast room. The lift would only move if you had a key card, good for security but a pain if you didn't have a key card. My major problem was that the air con machinery was right our side the window and was very noisy making it difficult to sleep. The staff offered to change the room eventually but by that time we had decided to move into a serviced apartment. An over rated and expensive hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the air con machinery

Rooms are very dated and musky unless you get upgraded to a newly refurbished room or suite. Rooms are spacious with dining or common area. Reasonably priced and porbably good for families on a budget. Poor housekeeping even for suites. Found trash and dirty socks swept under a cabinet in suite.

Only plus point being its location right next to a metro station and opposite the train station. You would probably only want to stay here if you are catching the train at very early or late hours.

The hotel has an ideal location in central city, opposite the main rail train station. Bus stop is just opposite the hotel, next building is the mall and on surrounding are convenient stores, locals restaurants, internationals restaurants and well known take aways stores. The hotel as it own restaurant with buffet(varieties of foods with a chef), rooms are reasonably big and a modern shower and toilet. Very clean room and comfortable bed, very spacious bed. Check out is very quick and the hotel offer a free parking

Room Tip: Arrive early as the hotel is well solicited and check in is after 3:00 pm, I didn't check all th...

I must say the only two good things about this hotel are the location and complimentary wifi access. However, the wifi sometimes was down during my stay, especially at night time, which was pretty frustrating. The room was small and dark as our side wasn't renovated. The bathroom was tiny and some of the tiles were cracked.

The cleaning service procedure overthere is very peculiar. On the 1st day when we went out, we changed the sign from 'do not disturb' to 'make up the room'. It was 11am and when we came back around 5pm, the room hasn't been done. It was the same on the 2nd day, so we called the concierge and was told that we need not only hang the 'make up room' sign outside, but called the concierge as well and the reason they did this is to avoid disturbing the guests. So what is that 'do not disturb' sign for? Anyway, we followed the instruction. On the 3rd day, the room was cleaned but the cap and the bottle of my lotion fell apart and I finally found the cap under the sofa.
The ventilation of the aircon is facing the bed head. Though I selected the lowest-speed fan, each morning, I feel overwhelming thirsty both in throat and face.
