“Great location”
Reviewed April 17, 2011

The location is great for going on day trips, since it's next to Taipei Main Station.

The hotel clean, but the decor needs sprucing up. After being used to pillow-top mattresses, I found the bed a bit hard. There were also some weird water pipe noises in the middle of the night that disrupted my sleep. Otherwise, no outside sounds were heard, despite being next to a busy road, since the windows were dual glazed.

Free in-room high speed internet is only available for executive suites. The executive lounge offers free coffee, tea and wireless internet throughout the day.

Breakfast was standard (bacon, eggs, sausages, bread, muffins, salad and some rice porridge stations), but the cold scrambled eggs weren't very good.

Booked Caesar Park through Expedia.com and got an amazing rate. I learnt later that this Hotel is a very old Hotel, operated by Hilton until recently. The best part of the Hotel was its location. Bang opposite Taipei Central Railway Station, and the centre of Taipei shopping districts, you cannot get a better location.

Not sure if it qualifies a 5 Star, but sure up there. Great staff. Little bit crowded in the lobby at all times, but other than that, I loved my stay at Caesar Park.

Stayed in Caesar Park hotel for 3 nights with my two teenage children in April 2010. I chosen this hotel because of the convenient location and the pictures showed that the Executive suite of this hotel looked like quite big ( it looked like big enough for 3 of us stay toegther ) , clean and new. As we planned staying in a same hotel for 3 nights for shopping around near the hotel, and 3 of us just needed one room for staying together, so we booked with full payment through internet for a 3 nights Executive suite room of this hotel

But we soon got very dissapointed once we arrvial the room they arranged for us. Fristly, and the most important was that executive suite was not as big as how it showed on the pictures, it at least got 1/3 smaller than it showed on pictures, and the room we got was smelly, and that room and bathroom also showed signs and drity, the sofar and coffe table were small size ones and were showed signs, one of sofar had a big area drity mark on ( looked like something dried gel ..... or .....terrible ) , eveything went so different from the pictures. As it was 3 nights staying, so I went to the lobby and spoke to the check in counter lady about the problems of the room we had, so we would take a look or change another Executive suite room, to see would it be the same or better as the one we got. But that lady showed unfriendly with her long face, all of their Executive suite rooms were full of that night she responsed that , so i asked again, as we did not want staying 3 nights for that same room, so could they be able rearrange another room for us once they got one checked out ? but that lady responsed with her same long face, that all of their Executive suite rooms were fully booking for whole of that week! Unbeliveable, what the service with such a "5 stars" hotel ? I was sure, they would possibly rearranged another room for us as long as if they willing to, and i didnot wrong about it, becuase we found many Executive rooms were checked out next morning ( those empty rooms same at our executive floor ) after we get back from breakfast. but I did not want to re asking the same question to them again, because i did not want if bring an argurement in our trip by that, becuase it was another bad exprience in their restautrent while we having our breakfast there, it was bed service with an old woman staff, who responsible for fired eggs there, she was so cold with her face and unfreindly when you request for eggs from her, so this hotel gave me a feeling was just bout a 2 or 3 star hotel only, i should not expected too much from them, i felt like traveling in mainland Chain with same type of service. I don't think we will back to this hotel again, i am sure there are many other better choices in Tai Pei, it saying if paying near $ 200- USD for a night hotel !

This hotel needs an update. It's a little tired, and has that old "Taipei funk." It's not dirty, but there's a dankness that never went away. The staff were kind a helpful, with appropriate amenities and a variety of languages spoken. The rooms were big and they offered integrated Muzak (i.e. elevator music) and bedside light controls. Cool 15+ years ago, but the whole system was old and run down. There were two flat panel tvs in the room, which is a suite by American standard. Plenty of space for 2 adults, including a small dining table. The location is great, but be warned that the best entrance is often the subway. If you arrive via taxi, there's a difficult to cross street that makes it a 2 black hassle to get to the lobby. I switched to a boutique hotel and was much happier. This place seems to do well with large tour groups. Service was good, but the place is a bit too dank and dated. This is one of the biggest rooms I've ever had in Asia (I've stayed at 4 and 5 stars in Bangkok, Tokyo, Kyoto, Shangahi, etc) other than renting apartments. But, bigger is not better. The strangle color scheme, worn faucets, mildew under the lip of the sink and other items make this a bit undesirable. On the other hand at the right price, this may still be a good choice. In general there are better places, especially if you go down a star, and give up the doorman for a cleaner room at the same price.

Very good hotel in the hearth of Taipei, just at the top of Taipei Main Station tube. Nice service, spacious rooms, clean hotel at a budget cost for its level.

Having just stayed overnight at this hotel, its main advantage being the MRT that you can access in its basement level, I'd sound a warning to fellow travellers - DO NOT book its superior or deluxe rooms - they are tiny, the deluxe room we got on the 19th floor did not even have a desk or chair for the free internet access one is provided with, and there certainly was no room to put away extra luggage. After upgrading to a suite on the 10th floor, we could not believe the difference - the twin beds were bigger, the room was 3 times the size with plenty of space to stretch out, it had a walk-in wardrobe and a large bathroom, and even a turn-around TV which you could watch from the bedroom or living room! There was room to put in an extra roll-away bed in the suite - something which would have been logistically impossible in the deluxe room. We've decided to stay all 3 nights in the comfort of the suite, without a worry in the world...
