“very nice and elegant hotel, nice staffs”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

this Les suites hotel is an elegant and practical hotel, with great staffs, they have a great staffs, with nice and careful staffs, and it is really close to the subway station.
There are also many choices of restaurants around here. The only negative points is that the elevator's door close too fast, since I am using cane to help my locomotion, several times its door closes me, hopefully there is harmless the door, but it is not pleasant you have to run a little to catch the elevator...
The breakfast is also great combination of oriental and occidental's style.
enjoyed a lot my stay. We have already been in the Shangai's one...

i stayed in this hotel for 4 nights for the first time (after having travelled to Taipei for past 15 years). there is nothing to complain except that the price is abit steep. but the overall experience is better than any 5 stars hotel u can find in Taipei. I love the breakfast spread and evening free cocktail. for those who prefer good view - sad to say this hotel does not offer any. but lets be candid about it - there is not much view in Taipei city hotels - it is all about buildings or shopping view. location is perfect and many food outlet in the mall (just directly opposite the hotel) and macdonald and movenpick cafe at doorstep. room service at very reasonable price from 10pm to 2am. anyone who like boutique hotel feel - look no further.

Stayed for six nights in a superior room. Room included an nespresso machine, a box of chocolates because we were repeat visitors from their hotel in Shanghai and fruit every day. Breakfast was included. Service from most staff was impeccable. As with the hotel in Shanghai there is a huge common area with coffee and tea and little cakes etc available all day and evenings. This area also provided newspapers and computers and doubled as the breakfast area. Monday to Friday the area also provided free wine for a limited period.
Don't expect a great view from your window - we overlooked macdonalds.
Additional positives were the closeness of nanjing east MRT, lots of shops and eating places, plus little food carts that would appear on corners selling street food. Also, the Evergreen bus from the airport stopped very close (cost $150 (about $AUD6) pp each way - runs approx every 20 minutes.). The hotel can put $300 on your key card to access the MRT. We used the MRT every day and did not use the amount up. The MRT outside the hotel goes direct to the zoo and gondola ride and, in the other direction, goes to the stop for the National Palace (reception have info for which bus to take from the MRT to the Palace). The flower arrangements were spectacular and there is a sanitizer Dispenser outside every lift.
Finding the hotel is interesting - it does not actually front onto Ching Cheng street so look for Macdonalds and the hotel entrance is located in the laneway alongside Macdonalds.
Negative was the loud music playing in the common areas - we had to ask for this to be turned down on a few occasions. Also, the music included CDs that just played over and over and were very annoying, especially the array of songs in Italian.

This is a delayed review - my extended family and I were there on New Year's Eve and stayed for three nights.

Room:
The room is of a decent size and is clean with a comfortable bed. Bathroom is modern with a separate shower and bath which is useful when you have a toddler who prefers to shower and refuses to get in a bath. The personalised welcome note and yummy box of chocolates were a nice touch.

Perhaps we booked too late (1.5 months before our travel date) as we were not assigned rooms on the same floor. We needed 4 rooms and only 2 were on the same level. With an old folk and a toddler, it would have been appreciated if we had all been on the same level.

Breakfast:
Small but decent spread. I like the fruits section with sweet passion fruit.

Would like to commend the staff here - My toddler wasn't able to wake up due to a late night and they actually packed some food and warm fresh milk for him! :)

Location:
The hotel is just a 3-min walk to the station! I didn't manage to make use of this awesome location as we had drivers to fetch us around.

There's also a 24-hr McD across the road which is awesome when you are hungry at 3am!

All in all, a great place to stay at!

Spent 2 nights (22-24 Feb) at this hotel and being upgrade to one of their suite (room 318). I love everything about this hotel from their warm hospitality, friendly service, tasteful deco, details of the room, food quality to the location. We will definitely stay in this hotel again for our next visit to Taipei and will highly recommend this to our friends & families.

Spent 7 nights in a standard room with my wife and 15month old son.

Pros:
1) Perfect location(appx 50m to Nanjing East Rd Station).
2) Family Mart, Malls, Food streets, Bars just within 50m radius range too.
3) Everything you need is in the hotel, I do not need to ask for any additional stuff.
4) Room key(Card) can be upgraded to allow you to use that card as a MRT card too. With 300NTB, I didn't even have the need to top up for the entire trip. You only need to pay the amount that you used.
5) Excellent services from all of the hotel staffs, from front desk to cook to cleaner.
6) Breakfast was top fantastic! =)

Cons:
1) Room not as spacious as I expect, quite small I must said.(Standard Room)

6 pros(more common pros not stated) vs 1 cons(that can be compromised), what else can you ask for?

5*

Room Tip: Choose a bigger room if you are travelling with family. Standard rooms are too small. No nice view...
