“Comfortable stay, good service”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

Excellent location. Staff have been nice and helpful. Fair price with buffet breakfast, which was a delightful surprise~~ Room was a bit old, but spacious and comfortable. Carpet needs a bit more cleaning though. (We suggest you don't walk bare feet inside the room.) In-room wifi available. Bathroom was a bit difficult to use though. We used the bathtub, although we had to be extra careful in order not to wet the floor of the bathroom. (We didn't use the shower because we were not used to the "raining type" shower head fixed on top of our heads.) Strongly suggest adding extra sockets in the guest room as when you have two or three guests staying in the room, guests will have to fight for the limited number of sockets for like the pot, chargers for cameras, cell phones, computers and so on.

The property is a star-rated property located very conveniently in Taipei with easy access to Nangang Exhibition Centre. The rooms are quite spacious and bathrooms are well provisioned.
Breakfast is quite lavish , and they also help to accomodate special requests.
Overall the experience is good and I shall without doubt recommend the hotel.

Very close to the new center, the Taipei 101. Clean but a bit outdated, especially furniture. Very suited for business trips. The staff is cold and ambiance too. No SPA and fitness center is minimal.

This is a modern, attractive hotel conveniently located next to a subway station. The staff were excellent and spoke English well. Our room was very comfortable and an excellent value. The included breakfast was fabulous.

Let me start with the good stuff: great location and extremely friendly staff. Breakfast is good as well. The design of the rooms is simple but perfectly ok for a business trip. But the floor I was on was moist. The room felt like a cave. The sheets and the carpets are damp. It smelled like mold. I could not sleep and all my stuff now smells. Never again. I would have left after the first night but everything else was booked because of a trade show. Never again.

We recently spent three nights in this hotel. It is well located near Taipei 101, and a half block to the efficient Taipei Metro.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. English was spoken well by some and enough by others that there were no issues in communication.

The room was not big, but big enough and had a fairly hard queen size bed with two night stands. A flat screen TV that had some English channels. A desk with free wifi and free wired high speed which was fast. There is an electric kettle in the room, 2 free water bottles, instant coffee and tea. a fridge, a safe, hair-dryer and decent bathroom products. Our room had large plate glass window between the bathroom and the bedroom leaving no privacy but had blinds you could pull down. The bathroom had a large claw tub and the shower had good water pressure. To shower was a challenge at my 5'"10 height as the roof is low in the tub area. Taller than me and you would have to bend. My head brushed the ceiling and because the tub is high and the floor is wet because of the way the shower sprays getting out of the tub from standing is a careful act. There is a dial in the bathroom that has 4 settings to turn on elevator music in your room to your desired level. The lobby is simple but adequate and the breakfast buffet we though was quite good. Lots of western and Asian foods. So much so if you could not find something to your liking you are a complainer. Sometimes the Asian dishes ran out and were slow to be refilled. There juices were very good. For a free buffet breakfast I give it an 8 out of 10.
Overall a decent hotel with good service and breakfast in a very convenient location. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

United is a solid option in a very good neighborhood of Taipei, the Xinying district. Proximity to good eats, the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall, MRT and shopping is the main draw. The standard rooms are just OK but the VIP rooms are quite nice and comfortable. Spacious, big bed, large L shaped couch, big marble batrhoom and old school bathtub. It's a little bit old and damp feeling, the service is clumsy and at times useless, the shower curtain was old, etc. Internet is pretty slow so probably not a great choice for internet addicts. A few reviews on here are grousing about the breakfast but it's not bad, pretty standard fare for a 4 star Asian hotel. The worst part of the hotel is really tacky Zebra striped animal print carpeting, which they should do away with immediately. All in all, some cosmetic flaws, not the fanciest, but good enough and the location is ideal.

Room Tip: VIP Rooms are way better and worth the added cost
