We stayed here based on reviews however, we don't read Japanese so maybe we missed some of the details??
Upon arrival, check it was smooth. However, the pictures on Tripadvisor and the website are quite misleading. We had the smallest room which space is typically not an issue for us, however, this room was not only small (maybe 25 sq m?) but NO WINDOWS! We felt super claustrophobic!
The room was clean and the shower was great, so we were hoping that this would make up for the size of the room.
This was our first time to Taiwan as a get away because we have been living in China which is constantly loud and noisy. We wanted peace, relaxation, and rest. However we were rudely awakened at 3 a.m. by the sound of blasting karaoke coming from downstairs. When we spoke to the main desk, they said this is usual and it may last for a few hours. Even with ear plugs, nothing could stop the pounding beat and vibration that you could actually feel in your bed!!! So much for rest!! We didn't get any sleep at all.
The breakfast was sad. We are not super picky but it literally consisted of rice & miso soup, or eggs and toast and nothing else. The hotel is small and it is located on the 4th floor of a building.
Thankfully Eric at the main desk was a huge help to us. He transferred us to the Tokyo Hotel nearby, which please read my review for their hotel. Unless, you are a deep sleeper or plan to do karaoke at 3 a.m. we would not recommend this hotel.
