“Reliable, easy choice for Taipei sightseeing”
Reviewed January 31, 2012

I chose this hotel for a weekend sightseeing trip to Taipei. The design is modern and edgy but not so much as to make anyone uncomfortable. The color palette is on the darker side but the rooms are in great condition and spotlessly cleaned. There is a subway stop five minutes away from the hotel and lots of convenience stores in the neighborhood. The surrounding blocks are mostly office blocks so it is a little quiet at night. If you don't need all the perks of a full-service hotel this is a good choice.

One thing did annoy me: music is played in the corridors from about 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM. There was a speaker directly above my room's door, and the sound carried right into my room, making it very noisy and impossible to block out. Serious design flaw! Beware!

our three-night stay was uneventful, in a good way. while we were given a room right by the elevators, we didn't hear much commotion in the mornings. there is loud club music played in the lobby and the hallways, which did not bother us once the door was closed, although our friend stayed two doors down and could hear it through her door.

the rooms are small, which i hear is standard for taipei. we are both quite tall and felt somewhat claustrophobic in the space - there is a large desk and arm chair in a room that seemed too small to fit furniture of that scale. i was not blown away by the amenities, but they did the job.

the bed was comfortable, even for my picky husband. one firm pillow and one soft for each of us.

the location, our main concern, was great, easy to catch the MTR or a taxi, very central. front desk staff was unobtrusive and friendly.

Stayed at the trendy room for 2 nights. The room is spacious and the design is very modern with glass bathroom and purple wall behind the bed. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Room was clean and all amenities provided like a 5 star hotel (soap, shampoo, slippers etc). Definitely worth the price I paid! Receptionists spoke English, they were helpful and friendly. Hotel is located about 300m away from the East Nanjing MRT station. The street where the hotel is located has many shops and places to eat. The free breakfast is average. The only thing I dont like about this hotel is the corridors are very dark and have black carpet. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Stayed here for 3 nights at the most basic rooms. Hotel is housed on the top few floors of an office building. Room floors are dimly lit giving you a feeling of walking into a night club or massage place. No windows, I'm lighting, small toilets, bad air quality. Breakfast was bad. Service bearable.... Will avoid staying here during my next vist.

A new hotel located in the China Airlines building in Taipei. Room is clean and new; the bed is very comfortable; the shower is big and nice; hotel reception is very helpful, and when we ask them to call a taxi for us, they did not charge anything like some other hotels in Taipei do. The free breakfast is good. It's safe and secured. Highly recommended.

The price and the location is right. Enough restaurants near the hotel. People were very nice and friendly! The subway station is a block away and taxi's are cheap. Wouldn't mind staying here again.
