We stayed one night in this hotel and found many things good about this hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful and tried their best to make you feel like a VIP. The room is big and comfortable with in room hot spring which is perfect for shy me. The location is up in the mountains so once you get there, it is not recommended that you leave the place although the staff are happy to organize either free shuttle to Beitou station or taxi for you.

Only reason why it did not get 5 is due to construction very near by. On Sunday 7am, the construction started. So it is advisable that you asked for a room that is not facing the construction.

Room Tip: Do ask for the room facing away from the construction site.

Pro:
1) Friendly and helpful staff. They would bring you to the room and explain every little service they have in the room.
2) More than enough complementary stuff. Thrilled to see they have coke, sprite, pierre, yogurt (i think it's yogurt), snacks, nespresso coffee FOR FREE.
3) Comfy bed, clean room and hot spring tube, high tech toilet
4) Free shuttle bus to and from Beitou train station
5) Limited yet fresh and delicious breakfast. Semi buffet of bread, fruits and drinks, and there are quite a lot of selection for the "main course" of your breakfast
6) Amazing public hot spring area. Clean bathrooms and dressing room. (Steam room and sauna room are also available)

Highly recommend for a romantic and relaxing vacation in this hotel!

We stayed for 1 night in a mountain view room with en-suite hotspring.
It was part of a hot spring trip with this being the first hotel in a series of 3 hotspring hotels in Taiwan that we stayed at. (see my other reviews on Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi and Onsen Papawaqa)

We arrived in the morning before the time for check-in and the room was not ready. However, seeing our jet-lagged faces, the staff kindly allowed us to use the common hotspring and lounge facilities to freshen up. We were impressed by the excellent service.
The hotel is fairly new and of a modern style. The room was spacious and amenities were good.
The indoor hotspring facilities had 3 pools of different temperatures. There was construction going on next door which marred the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. However, maybe because of that, there were hardly any other guests and I had the pools to myself most of the time. We did not try the outdoor pools as those required the use of swim wear.
As the hotel is a fair distance from the main town where the restaurants are, we decided to eat in and had the set dinner from the Chinese restaurant. The food was fair, not outstanding but not bad either.

All in all, a relaxing stay in a new, well maintained resort. Having read the trip advisors reviews before we went there, we were pleasantly surprised.

We were greeted by their friendly staff. its a really nice place, with a great view. the massage/spa experience we had was wonderful. the hotspring was also really good, we had the private spa pool to ourselves. the staff were very attentive, after the massage there is also complimentary desserts followed by a HIghtea at their restaurant which is a promotion they have for the month. highly recommended for anybody looking for a good and relaxing massage.
they also provide shuttle bus to/fro xinbeitou and beitou mrt.

The room is very comfortable with in room hot spring tub. The food is good and healthy. The service is excellent as well. A very good hotel indeed.

We stay for 2 days with a breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner package. The place is very quiet and clean. It is an excellent resort for couples and it is very romantic and lovely. The music is always in the background through out the hotel with a relaxing mood.

Just returned from this hotel yesterday. Only 20 minutes from Taipei city by taxi. Hotel is very personalized in service. Hotel is clean & new, with in room hot spring pool. Spring water is milky full of sulphur smell which I likes it very much, giving you real hot spring feeling versus colorless spring water. They also have a big public pool, semi-open. They have 2 restaurants, one western & one Chinese, food presentation is good, but taste is so so.
Strongly recommended if you only want to have hot spring somewhere near Taipei, you will not be disappointed, but a bit pricey

Room Tip: There is a construction site just opposite to the hotel, maybe some noise. For me, it is ok.

Grand View Resorts is one of the newest spa resort in Beitou area. It sits on top of the hill next to the Beitou Hot Spring Museum.

The hotel offers public hot spring spas for men & women as well as in-room large tubs (hot & cold) for the enjoyment of pure relaxing hot springs.

Over the years, I've always stay at the Spring City Resort-春天酒店 but now that Grand View Resort has opened I must say it will be the better choice for the stay. Reason is simple. The rooms is much newer, larger, more luxurious and view is just breath taking. Each room has a balcony where one can go sit and enjoy the morning fresh air and see the mountain mist slowly drifting up. The bathroom is very well layout with two wash basins. There is a separate shower as well as a separate toilet room with top of the line Toto washlet.

The hotel has a many amenities and ample parking garage spaces. It is located just above Spring City Resort. While I was there, I did not see any large tourist group staying there which means less crowd and more peace and quiet.

The price is high end but it is well worth the money. If you can afford it, I highly recommend staying at this luxurious resort.

Room Tip: Ask for the room above 7th or 8th floor. Otherwise, spend little more and get the 9th and 10th. Also...
