The hotel staff was pleasant and overly helpful. The hotel was spotless. My room was clean, new, spacious. Breakfast went from Traditional to Western styles. There was something for everyone. I could not think of a more centrally located nicer place to stay.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less lobby bar noise.

This hotel has truly amazed me from the beginning to the end (with the exception of the Yen restaurant):
- The hotel is spanking new and is centrally located near a mile long of high-end shopping malls that end with the Taipei 101 tower
- The standard room is spacious and is decorated with modern furniture, look and color (towards the green tone). The bathroom has the most modern equipment, including a smart toilet that opens its lid when you approach it, warm seat, water jets of many options including oscillation and water pressure, front and back jets, and even a deodorizer option! Finally, it closes the lid if no movement is detected after a while.
- The spa located on the 12th floor: I have never seen such a cool spa: upon showing the room card, the receptionist gives you a wrist band that looks like a watch. You apply the band to the spa door and it opens electronically, including your assigned locker. The colors in the spa are very soothing (white and blue) and it has a rest area with lounge chairs and TV, video, magazines. The Jacuzzi has 3 pools with 3 distinct temperatures that are displayed electronically on the wall. The steam bath and sauna also display the temperature inside. The outdoor swimming pool is located on the 10th floor where the lobby is, outside the Kitchen table restaurant. It has a decent size and is cleanly kept.
- The Kitchen Table restaurant offers excellent buffet breakfast with a variety of occidental and oriental dishes. The egg Benedictines are very well done and there is a station serving bacon that is sliced from a whole piece, like rosbeef.
- The Yen restaurant is overpriced and the cuisine is not authentic, however it offers a nice view over the city. I was charged 20$ USD for a pumpkin soup! (it has a golden leaf on top but who cares?).
- The staff is fluent in English and are warm and courteous.
- The hotel is connected to Hankyu high-end shopping mall on the first floor
- The overall atmosphere in the hotel is young and dynamic.
I truly enjoyed my stay and will certainly go back, especially for the Toto smart toilet! ;-)

Wow! Wonderful! So chic ! Excellent staff , especially in the concierge...which they term as whatever/whenever :) really, you can ask anything from them and they will gladly help and assist you, with a smile. Special mention to Jason who was so courteous and helpful .... Never have I experienced such a bunch of happy and contented staff who is dedicated to please their guests. The Kitchen Table served excellent breakfast dishes and of course, their staff were also very pleasant. The motif of the design of the restaurant is yellow and white...color of the rising sun, very appropriate ....and what else can I say? The rooms were huge and brightly lit. In fact, the room I stayed was the Wonderful Room which was already around 42sqm. Just lying down for a few minutes and you will dose off easily. The gym, called SWEAT, is great and have complete equipments. Unfortunately, my friends weren't able to take a dip in their eternity pool. But I am sure, the next time I go back there, I will bring my family and try the pool :) location of the hotel is also strategic, since it is just around 10 mins walk to Taipei 101, across Mitsukoshi, beside Eslite and of course, just go down the hotel and you don't have to go far away to look for food. It's full of Japanese restaurants :) just to end this, definitely I will come back here when I return to Taipei....:)

Very luxe and comfortable hotel with service to match. Also convenient, located above the subway and in the midst of a shopping district and just a few minutes from Taipei 101 skyscraper. But it is pricey, though it lives up to expectations.

Warm and friendly talents! Woo Bar had great selection of cocktails. Definitely a place to visit! Yen restaurant at the 31/F of the hotel had amazing view of the city especially one station where you have the view if 101 Taipei by Night. Amber, one of the B&F talents on duty is very attentive, warm and friendly extended a great service during our dinner.

"If Your Request Is Not Illegal, You Will Get It!"

That is literally their tag line coincide with the excellent Taiwanese hospitality.

It was October Pride month and we have invited some guests to the hotel to hangout, they prepared a box of drinking water for us, towels etc no question ask.

I mean some hotels may question you for inviting quests but then again W Taipei is more welcoming and being very hospitable and accommodating.
