“night market”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

Tons of different foods to try and a lot of pop-up shops to buy souvenirs. My favorite was the fresh coconut water.

“Night market for the locals”
Reviewed December 13, 2012 via mobile

This was recommended by my Taiwan colleagues. Instead of the touristy shi lin, I came here and never regret. A bit small But less crowded and food are very authentic. I ordered dried oyster, hot dog in hot dog, pork knuckles, muah chee... Think I ate too much alone and it never seems to please me. Friendly people there as well. Truly enjoyed .

“Best Market of all night markets”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

It is not as congested. A whole row of food stalls with wide variety. About 20 mins walk from metro station.

“Night market which is not very touristy and still possesses traditional elements.”
Reviewed May 25, 2012

Ningxia night market is one of the few night markets left in Taiwan that is not fogged with tourism as yet. If you want to have a feel of Taiwan traditional night market, this is the place.

It sells all kinds of food, but my favourite is the sweet potato with sour plum powder. It is unbeliveably delicious! Walking further through Ningxia night market, you will reach a small street filled with games stores. It is a fun after dinner recreation.

How to get there:
Ningxia night market is roughly 10- 15 minutes walk away from Shuanglian Station. There are road signs leading towards Dihua Street, just follow the sign and you will reach Ningxia night market before Dihua Street.

Suggestion:
During pre-Chinese New Year season, visit Ningxia night market together with Dihua Street (Chinese New Year festive goodies market) as they are walking distance away.

“Less crowd with lots of good foods!”
Reviewed November 10, 2011

This night market is less crowded than Shilin Night Market, and it sells mostly food. Must try is the oyster soup, the oysters are very fresh, which makes this simple dish so yummy! And the sesame oil chicken at one of the corner restaurant is nice too. Forgot the name, but there's always a crowd, so I guess it's not hard to find it, we look for crowd too when we choose where to eat. Also not to be missed out is the 'fried crispy chicken', it's very nice. Be ready to queue though. Overall, I like this night market compared to the food section at Shilin Night market, which is more crowded and stuffy. This one is open air, so it's lovely to enjoy the cool outdoor when we eat.
