Reviewed June 2, 2014

price, location, and rooms have all you need, and are clean and well maintained. staff are once again Taiwan style, corteous and efficient. great value for money. breakfast is varied and caters for all tastes. in the two days we stayed, food was varied, and service from staff, catering, reception, and room service, was more that appreciated, respectufull and corteous. Hotel very clean , and far from simple, everything you need is there in your room. perfect!

Room Tip: towards the back very quiet, front, minor road noice, balcony is possibile.

It's far from city and not much shop or restaurant around. No lift so need to walk up and carry the heavy luggage by myself for 3rd floor. It's noisy as only a thin wall and you can hear anyone who walk pass. The air-condition is off at midnight and as informed that was the hotel policy, unluckily i stayed there in summer.

Terrible - the only word to describe this hotel. Tiny, and I mean tiny rooms,
some unfriendly staff, and the most unhygienic breakfast I have ever seen.

This hotel is more like a hostel or dormitory with paper thin walls and the basic of basic amenities. Noise goes straight through the walls.

The only thing going for it is the bed which is comfortable but alas, the constant stream of noise keeps me awake all night, the free cable TV, and the free wireless internet.

The breakfast is a joke. The picture gives it justice. The cord for the toaster is plugged into the socket in the toilet next to the breakfast bench and of course the door doesn't close so there is the stench of toilet greeting you as you attempt to butter your toast on a piece of tissue paper as there are no plates. Oh - and no milk either (for breakfast)!

As this was purchased on Ootels.com at an advanced purchase rate, I am unable to cancel and move elsewhere. I am disappointed at Ootels.com for marketing this 'hotel' deceivingly.

Disgusting stay and NOT recommended!

This is a hotel of unwelcome surprises: discovering just how out-of-the-way it is, discovering that there's no lift, discovering that your room won't be available until 9pm...

This was my first time visiting Taipei. The city is quite well-connected by public transport, but it really helps to be on the MRT. The hotel is close to a bus that runs to the MRT, but the bus isn't very frequent, and it's an added inconvenience when the buses stop running at night.

The room we stayed in was small but adequate. The bathroom was quite clean and the room was serviced every day. Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable, as some previous reviews have mentioned.

Overall, it's very remote from the major attractions of the city. The only reason we stayed here was that Taipei is very busy at new year, and we had no other options.

I shall start off with the bad points of this hotel. Location is not ideally good as it is located in some sort of a back alley and chances are if you cab back after one day of tour, firstly the taxi driver might not know the place, secondly the taxi driver might just miss the entrance to the lobby and lastly it is quite a distance away from public transport point. therefore usually you will just hail a cab back. It is also located very near a bridge. Thus if you are the type of travelers whom wish to save money by not taking taxi, this hotel is too much for you to handle.

Room size wise I felt that it is up to individual. For me I think it's big and good enough for a few days stay.

Well, what more can we ask for from a 3 star rating hotel that comes with free WIFI, Breakfast(though I didn't manage to eat any), and excellent service crew.

Come to that, if they gave you a nice bedroom, nice scenery but having lousy staffs to serve you and your enquiries, isn't it a big turn off?

As such I would like to commend the staff crew at the counter while I'm there (12 aug - 15 aug). They are friendly and enthusiastic and never fail to address any issues given to them.

There was this service staff by the name of Rex who even helped us to dial a cab out of his own contact and persuaded the taxi driver to give us a much better price offer. He even helped us to mark down on the prominent tourist attractions that we could visit along the taxi tour.

Big thanks to Rex and all the hotel crew for making my journey a pleasant one. Will definitely look forward to booking this hotel on my next trip to Taipei.

The hotel is clean and the staff were extremely cordial and most helpful. Location wasn't too bad. Not that much to see if you feel like taking a stroll late at night as the neighborhood has mostly car repair places. Quite convenient as bus goes to Shilin MRT, and National Palace Museum. Overall I had a pleasant stay. More than I expected for a budget hotel.

It was a small room and those traveling with a lot of luggage should be aware that there is no elevator, but it was clean and the front desk staff was just lovely. Very friendly and helpful. Not really close enough to the metro station to walk there, but taxi's are easy enough to hail on the street and very reasonably priced. Also close to the Shilin night market, great shopping and food.
