The #1 university in Taiwan. Japanese colonial style school buildings, a somewhat old but big campus. Nothing else.
Gongguan Night Market is right next to the campus though.
MRT to Gongguan Station.

First and foremost it is a university and not much of a tourist attraction. You might want to visit this place if you want to immerse in the university culture as the area is practically like a mini town in itself. Most people come here for the concerts or events held at the Sports Stadium (National Taiwan University Sports Center / Taipei Sports Stadium / Taida Gym - it has many names). The nearest MRT Station is the Gongguan MRT Station, and yes just as it is a university, it is bustling with students.

Good place to go to get a great education (but tough to get in). The campus is not really very interesting to visit although the surrounding night markets and restaurants are lively in the evenings.

The conference facilities at the university were good and the welcome from the local organisers was first-class. The campus itself is well worth a walk around - the lake in the middle is a lovely area to sit and relax. The banqueting facilities were excellent - we had a fantastic traditional meal one evening. Most of all it is the friendliness and hospitality of the staff and students at the university which makes it a great place to visit.

The buildings look dull and uninteresting. The only interesting part is the agricultural department where you find an open field. You are required to register before entering the Main library for their exhibits and you are not allowed to bring your bag with you inside.
