The Xio Long Bao here is as good as that of the more famous Ding Tai Fung just around the corner. It is NT$50 less than DTF. Even both are excellent, Kao Chi is more reasonable priced. We were recommended by locals as well as our taxi driver to try Kao Chi. Their Pan Fried Pork Bun is the best. Don't go home without trying it. Its steamed custard bun is also the best I ever tasted. The egg custard literally melts in your mouth. Another cold appetizer we tried was a honey/or sweet smoke dace(I think). The bone were so soft that I swallowed most of the bones. This place is definitely a great rival of DTF and gives you more values for your bucks.
