Decent hotel close to downtown and two metro stops. For the good stuff: Hotel public areas are well maintained. Gym is fantastic, clean and has most everything you need. Located close to downtown (Ximen metro stop). Room pretty good. Staff willing to help out. Bad stuff: After helping you the staff immediately had their hand out for a gratuity. $15 US for breakfast (many eateries within 5 minutes of hotel and cheap). Internet extra (a lot of money). Bathroom not well maintained or clean. The bathtub (I think) was for a dog, midget, munchkin, whatever. I've never seen anything like it before. Toilet paper dispenser behind the toilet and hidden by the seat cover which isn't bad if you're a contortionist, which we weren't. The towels provided are in the 100 grit range (very abrasive) but useful for removing the mold and mildew in the shower. The shower leaks ... which explains the additional drain by the toilet; bring your rubbers with you if you have business to attend to after a shower. The website says incredible city view, and it is if food advertisements on adjacent buildings make you happy. We were on an upper floor and didn't see much but did hear all of the people having a family reunion in the hotel running up and down the hallways. I like family get togethers ... but not when I'm not invited.
