“Good Location”
Reviewed October 4, 2010

This the 2nd time i stayed here, last was in 2008. This time there is drop in the quality in the room.(Standard Room). It's little run down in terms of furniture(old), bed too hard, lighting not bright enough, however the rooms are kept very clean.
Breakfast there are only toast, porridge, fried eggs, fried vegatable and pickles, coffee, tea, and orange juice(syrup mixed with water) 365 days the same.
If you arrive late at night and are just looking for basic and clean with reasonable price, yes this is the place. There is a PC with printer for guest at reception area.

Take the Kwok Kwang bus from the airport to the last station (Taipei Bus Station) for NT125. Once you alight from the bus head towards the left where the busy road/shops are or ask the bus captain for the MRT. If you use the MRT underground shopping mall look for the exit 'Z' pick zone exit from 'Z6" turn right the hotel is just less than 1 mins away.
The Airport bus station back to airport is just right opposite from the main road from the hotel.

You get a decent sized room that's quiet and convenitely located at the Keymans hotel.

Catch the 90 TWD bus from the airport to TPE main station and then it's about a 10 min walk to the hotel and then the bus back at the bus station across the main raod fromt eh hotel.

Loads of cheap places to eat in the area.

staff were friendly and helpful.

breakfast was basic but ok. i would have that in the morning then fuel up with an early lunch. 3 USD will get you a nice meal with free iced tea in lots of places in taipe

there's a 24hr coin operated laundry about 3 blocks from the hotel. Staff have cards with directions.

Free fast wifi.

We stayed for 8 nights 29th Dec/5thJan for total NT$13,000.

Excellent location. The KuoKuang 国 光 Airport Express Bus (fare NT$125) arrived at its final destination on the east entrance of Taipei Main Station, and we wheeled our luggages across the road, reached the hotel in 5 mins. Going to the airport, the KuoKuang Bus West Station is just across the road.

Rm No.610 had tired furnitures and about 20 sq m: so enough space for our 2 luggages on the floor, and walking space around the very-hard Queen size bed, 32" flat TV with 100 channels, fridge, sofa area (2 one-seater + small coffee table), toilet was large enough to be comfortable. There is a vacumn flask in the room, and the hot/cold water point is outside, next to the security counter (see later). Hair-dryer in the toilet. Had to use the AC outlet (for the standing lamp) to charge our electronic devices; but there are 5 other lamps all round, so the room is not in darkness.

The aircon works, although at max setting, the noise was too intruding. It being 15*C outside, most nights we switched it off. Complimentary help-yourself breakfast on the top "R" floor; toasts, juices, eggs sunny-side-up, coffee/tea, plus a limited Taiwanese porridge section which was the same (boring) everyday. The pork floss was nice though.

Sheets and linens were very clean. Old-fashioned large room key on a big plastic keychain, plus old-fashioned bedroom slipper. Security is excellent - receptionist ask you for your room number everytime you walk in. And there is a security counter on every floor that is manned at night.

MacDonald's, Seven Eleven, and limited number of local food stalls round the corner. ShinKong Mitsukoshi (shopping, supermarket, foodcourt) 3 mins away. Across to the Taipei Main Station there is a big food court on the 2nd floor, and next block to it is the newly-opened Q-Square mall with a massive food court in the basement.

Transport options are all in the Taipei Main Station; MRT, airport express bus, train, high-speed rail, long distance bus.

We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Taipei.

I stayed in this hotel with my family and relatives. The rooms are quite nice. If you are in a big group, it is cheaper to book a family or VIP room. The The staff were very helpful. What I really like about this hotel is the location. It was just near the Taipei Main Station so it is very convenient to travel to different places in Taipei. Different buses pass by the Main Station so it is realloy easy to commute. And also the Bus Station is also a few minutes away, going to the hotel from the airport and going back to the airport from the hotel is also very easy. The area is also near many places you can visit: Presidential Building, etc. There are aslo a lot of stores around the area selling food, accessories, electronics, etc.

The check-in process is fast and we are given a room on the 9th Floor. It is actually the 8th Floor as they have omitted the 4th Floor due to superstitious.

The room is spacious, clean and decent. However, I can see that the room is tired. There is no card key system. It is just a key and the lock. There is no door hole at all and all it has is a door latch. No safe on the room either. The bed is hard and firm. The room have a small little trash bin and I doubt it will be sufficient for the whole family. The front desk staff is polite and will try their means to help us. We actually request a late checkout at 1300hrs and with my experience with Slove hotel, I am prepared to pay a nominal sum. However to my surprise, they allowed me to check out at 1300hrs for free. Room service staff is friendly too but I can’t say for their maintenance staff. I actually reported a fault in the bathroom switch. By the time they arrive which is not long, the switch actually works and they female staff seems unhappy. There is no extra power socket in the room to charge my gadget though there is one in the toilet but will you charge your phone in the toilet? The switch to the light is actually all the way into the room located by the side of the bed. When I open the door for the first time, I can’t find the switch at all! I have to navigate in the dark to turn on the lights. The good things about this hotel is that it has free Wi-Fi and the cable TV selection is pretty good (good if you understand Chinese). Do take note that the Rainbow Channel is not hidden. So if you are staying with your kids, please do be aware of this.

The location is about 5 mins walk from the station (also where the airport bus stops). Normally the area around is a station is to be avoided - but this hotel seems to do a good job while keeping the price reasonable. The metro is a few mins away, and there are plenty of shops selling street food nearby. I you want posh nosh, or to be in a more flashy area, then you probably want to go to a different part of Tapei (e.g. Xinyi)

Rooms are not plush, but they're more than adequate for leisure travel. Large bed, ample bathroom, etc... Furniture is functional rather than designer, but it's comfortable enough. This being Tawian, the rooms also have an ENORMOUS wide screen TV !

If your company is paying, then there are better places to stay, but if visiting Tapie for liesure, this place will do nicely.

This hotel is in a very strategic location which near the taipei bus station. Nearby the hotel does have a lot of shops for vegetarian as well.
