“Great family friendly service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2011

We visited over the Xmas weekend and the hotel helped us book AoBa for dinner on boxing day. It was Sunday evening and the restaurant was 80% full. The service was impeccable and we enjoyed the Taiwanese cuisine. The waiter recommended some simple Taiwanese dishes which turned out great. We really liked the 菜脯蛋 (which is essentially an egg omelette with some pickled radish. My husband does not like radish but when I made him order it he enjoyed it. The radish is cut into tiny pieces so it gives the egg a bit of texture - nice dish for the kids. The sweet and sour fish fillet was also excellent - it has a tiny amount of chili in it but sweet enough that my 6-yr old didn't mind (though he doesn't normally eat spicy food). The three cups chicken was good but nothing extraordinary. The restaurant has nice deco but low key. The light is dim which we didn't mind. There are other families with young kids and we gather this place is popular with local families and Japanese tourists. The price is very reasonable as well.

“very tasty”

This was our first of 8 nights in Tai Pei.. After experiencing all of the cuisines I can say this was by far the tastiest. Nice ambience and service as well.

“Really good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2011

Great local Taiwanese food, and in Taipei, it is easy to find. Is a chain with more than one location, went to one near shangrila and the one near sogo.
