“Artsy shops in the Red House”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

If you love craft markets and design, this is the place for you although there are just a handful of shops. One shop was just dedicated to selling camera straps! Another had African batik-like cloth made into clothes, shoes. A few sell interesting T-shirts with one of a kind prints. Worth spending an hour or so just browsing here. Note: closed on Mondays.

“Nice hang out place, must try Ah Chong Mien Sien (noodle)!”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

You cant miss this place when u are in Taipei, it's accessible via metro to Xi Men Ting Station, just ask around for direction when u depart the station, it's < 5 min walk.

The special noodle is really nice! u will want it more :)

Xi Men Ting itself is a must check in place when u are in Taipei, for shopping, food, local young taipei culture, so just visit this nice place while u are there.

“I like the vitality of Ximending”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

Go there on weekends especially, there are lots of people of course but also many street food stands and street performers. Some of them are really very good. There are many interesting shops and eateries if you prefer to sit down. I just enjoy the place.

“A better thing to do in Taipei”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

Teenagers love this place, almost all of the shops here are selling trendy stuffs, not those classy ones. You can find lots of local or non-local foods here and i promise you will not starve yourself. I don't get it when people compared Ximending to wufenpu, the clothes here is much more cheaper and nicer than in wufenpu. What i don't like about this place, it's too crowded and noisy at weekend night. Can't blame, this street has its nightlife.

“Still the best place to visit in Taipei”
Reviewed November 22, 2013 via mobile

My last visit to this place was several years ago but it's well worth the time. We went there on 2 nights because we still find it to be a well balanced place. There are shops for different needs and good variety of food. One of the interesting observations is to see the roving food vendors on push carts appear and disappear. This happens when the authorities patrol the area. Compared with other night markets, this is still the best. And the subway station is located right at the place. You can also savor the taste of the famous Ah Chung Mee Sua (rice noodles). Don't worry about the queue - they are really fast and efficient.
