It may not be highly rated or regarded by the Taiwanese government, but I think it is much more interesting than the ruins in Tainan Anping district. Maybe because I have seen much better ruins with more cultural value and beauty in Europe.
There are 3 warehouses that have been 'invaded' by the banyan trees. It is really an amazing sight when you see how the trees took over the warehouses and claim them as their own. It is a piece of art by nature. You would not be able to see anything from the entrance, so be pleasantly surprised after you walk past the exhibition hall in the first building after the entrance.
There are steps leading to the roof for you to have an aerial view. However, do remember to bring an umbrella because it is not sheltered and Taiwan tend to have a lot of rain. The whole visit should not take more than 1 hour and beware of mosquitoes, especially during rainy season.
