“Budget Motel at Hotel Prices”
Reviewed July 22, 2013 via mobile

This property was the perfect example of a hotel that tries to squeeze as much out of the customer while providing as little as possible. The hotel charged for everything! Even the 'free' WiFi wasn't free, unless you were in the lobby. I paid almost twice as much for the deluxe room, the only difference between it and the standard room was it had a barely operational, noisy, leaky A/C and a very small tub. The room also comes with a very outdated TV w a fuzzy picture. Everything about this property is old, outdated and cheap. The sheets were the roughest and scratchiest I've ever slept on (this includes the sheets at the tea houses along the trek) and I'm really not that picky. Even the toilet paper looked like they had split a two ply roll and rerolled it into two rolls (not an exaggeration). The location was great, near that lake and a few meters from shops and restaurants, and the service staff was good also, however, the management was in attentive (rude) at best.

It has a great location to Lake Phewa. Just out from the hotel, you can walk a few meters to where they have the boating station where you can hire a boat full day and explore the whole lake. Most recommended to spend a whole day there, trek up to Peace Pagoda, stop by the waterfall on the way down, watch the paragliders, view the snowcapped mountain, swim, eat. The hotel has good value for money. Breakfast was good, watch the local dance at night in the restaurant. The rooms have balcony and spacious. However, there is no elevator, but they can help you carry your bags.

!!!!!.....NAMASTE.........!!!!!!!!

Stayed here for a week and enjoyed the hospitality. This Hotel is very near to the Fewa Lake and also in the heart of lake side. Barahi Temple is located in the middle of Fewa lake.
Daily cultural programs are the main attraction to the multi cuisine restaurant. Staffs are very friendly and helpful for local guidance.

Room Tip: Ask for the Mountain view Rooms. Its beautiful.

I stayed here in May 2013 for 3 days 2 nights. The hotel is located 2 mins walk from the main road. Nice rooms but no elevators. Ask for a room with mountain view. The cultural program is good if you like traditional stuff. The staff is very helpful. The air conditioner does not work 24 hrs,

Nice hotel with good folk evening dance. Rooms are spacious but with old and noisy furniture. No kettle for tea. Swimming pool is good. Biggest advantage is its location: near to lake and the market. Overall a nice place to stay. Food is average. Staff can be better.

Room Tip: choose rooms towards swimming pool side.

A standard hotel but lacked character of other places I stayed. Has all mod cons but could be anywhere in the world.

Bar fairly pricey. Much cheaper outside of hotel.

Good central location, near lake and bars and restaurants etc.

Do a boat trip on the lake. Very cheap and tranquil.

Room Tip: Not all rooms are the same. I stayed before and after my trek and the room I had the first night was...
