The Moonlight is right at the end of the lake, so it is convenient enough. The Moonlight gets marks for good value among 'budget' properties. The room was adequate, but the air conditioner looks like it was dismantled about 10 years ago and should have been removed...what an eyesore. The beds and pillows were hard, as expected, and the staff was helpful. Our phone barely worked.

I think the associated restaurant is underrated. They offered a lot of dishes that were unexpectedly good, and with large portions. The restaurant staff lined up after our stay and wished us well. It could be because the hotel is regularly recommended by our trekking guide. The internet access at the attached travel office was pathetic, but good high-speed facilties were available just a few meters away.

The rooms are away from the street, so are relatively quiet. The hotel has it's own generator which operates most everything during normal power outages, but a different restaurant next door has their generator close to the Moonlight. They did shut it down around 10pm. Also, there is a new building being built next door, and that project was quite noisy at times, some work being done until 10pm at night. That should be completed some day.
