If the weather is good, a lot of people go before sunrise from Pokhara up here to Sarangkot. So in high season go up early to get on time. When the weather is great you have a beautiful view here at the anarpurna-mountains and the fishtail mountain. If you don’t go hiking this is a good place to see big mountains with heights u over 8000 meters!

We stayed in this area in the hopes of viewing the Himalayas. We awoke prior to sunrise. The Himalayas were only clear for moments before the smog rolled in and obscured them. It was still peaceful and pretty.

magical, completely commercialised though with vendors offering all sorts of wares from scarfs and stoles to beads and handicrafts. Worth waking up for the sunrise

We walked up in the dark which was quite strenuous and a torch is recommended. But to see the sunrise over the mountains is just breathtaking. A must do if you are in the area.

The ride up there from town can be about 25 mins but if you decide to stay there I suggest the Himalayan Front Hotel and ask for a mountain view because early morning you can see the range. The sunrise gives you a spectacular view of the Annapoorna mountain range. You can see Fishtail and Machupecheru as the soft rays of the sun hit its snowy peaks to give you a silvery peek at the whole range. It is worth getting up real early to go to the top of Sarangkot. By the time the sun rises to its fullest it is time fora hearty breakfast and on to the rest of a fulfilling day.

This is an extraordinary visit for a tourist! Unbelievable experience in viewing the Sun rise through the snow capped hills; Dhawalagiri, Annapurna and Fish tail. I never had seen such a wonderful seen in my life. Never forget to visit this place if you visit Pokhara in Nepal.

I visited Sarangkot mountain top to see the sunrise and the Annapurana mountains. The sunrise point was really crowded with tourists and locals to see the amazing sunrise over Himalayas.

Look I know it's a wonderful spot. And definitely come here for sunrise to see the mountains. But it's crazy crazy busy and you will struggle to see the view. Get there early otherwise you will get stuck in traffic and need to walk up the mountain.

Can get a but crowded on Weekends with locals, so advised to visit on weekdays, if u have the option. Is a must visit as it provides an amazing panorama view of the Annapurna. Sunrise is amazing, but I equally or sometimes even better, is the sunsets with the skies n clouds turned red, orange or crimson pink.
