We crossed the lake in a rowing boat and walked to the top of the hill. It is quite steep but a good path and takes about 35-40 mins. The stupa sits serenely on top with views all around. It is both beautiful and has a feeling of spirituality. If you are in Pokhara you just must do this!

1 of the 2 must see @ Pokhara. You get to see an absoulutely fantastic view of the Annapurna from there. You need to climb a lot of steps to reach there and the roads are not in the best of the condition. But once you reach there, you will forget everything. On a clear day, the view is like calender. The peace temple is nice, but once you see the view, peace temple then doesn't remain too big an attraction anymore.

Did the shortcut method by driving up. Road conditions are very very bad and was told by my guide that there's no way to drive up during the rainy season. Walked up the stairs under the hot sun for about 20mins before reaching the Stupa. Do remember to bring your water bottle with you! Quite a peaceful environment as spend another 30mins walking around, enjoying the view before going down.

We took a ride in the early morning to this mystical place located on a hill overlooking Pokhara Lake. There were a few people only so the grouds were so peaceful and soothing! We learned a bit of the Buddha life story by reading the inscriptions around the Temple.

If you have the strength to climb what felt like 1000 stairs, then you can get a beautiful view of Pokhara city. But its not for the faint-hearted.
