“Amazing setting and view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

Set on a hill visible from nearly all Pokhara, this has the most wonderful view of the city and lake with mountains in background. Got a boat ride to other side of lake and hiked up, took around 45 minutes. Stupa itself if modern and a little ordinary, but worth it for the view.

“Buddhist Peace Temple in a Hindu Country is A Bit Out of Place”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

A decent three hour trip. You can make an OK hike of it up and down, or you can be lazy and drive. Temple is nice but incongruous. There are good views from there assuming the smog isn't too bad. If you are looking to fill extra time, this is a decent way, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

“A favoutite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

I always go to visit this place while in Pokhara. It exudes a feel of peace and beauty like no other place. I prefer the early mornings, as one can sit there and meditate a bit before other travellers throng the place. If you go down on foot you can catch a boat to go back to lakeside and visit Barahi island on the way. Great

“Best sightseeign in Pokhara”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

You can skip many of the usual sightseeings but not this one. Have a car booked early morning and visit the place, it is so calm and inspiring. Great view of the city and the Annapurna range.

“Worth the walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

A gentle trip across the lake leads you to the base of the hill then you start climbing. We were told 1 hour up and down but it's more like 1 hour up then plan on 30 mins at the top then a 30 min descent.
Decent footware is required as it's steep but take your camera as the views are great
