“Peace with a view”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

We went on a early morning tour with a hired car. The cars stop in a taxi stand a bit below the summit of the hill where the pagoda is located, so we had to walk some 20 min. The pagoda is white and bright, with golden statues inside 4 alcoves, depicting the life of the Buddha. View from there is amazing

“walk up, great view, boat back”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

We had a hard time locating the path up but once we did, it was a nice trek thru the 'jungle'. The stupa and view are beautiful. We walked down on a local path, not tourist path and made it to the typical restaurant and got a canoe across to pokhara. Loved the visit to the stupa.

“Great views, but sunset is best.”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

Great views but sunset is the best time to be here and that complicates things a little, because clouds during the day may spoil the fun. The best approach, is watch at 2PM if the sky is clear and then take a cab to this place. We were there in December and got great visibility.

“Stunning views”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

AMAZING views of the himalayas. YOU MUST GO TO SEE THE SUNSET. Sunset was magnificent especially the way the color of the peaks change with the setting sun is just unmissable. You feel as if you can just reach out and touch the mountains. The stupa is beautiful and looks as if it is maintained very well. You can get a taxi up to the midway point and then there are steps up to the stupa from there. Make sure you get there in time for sunset because it is definitely something you will cherish in your mind for a long time to come.
