You don't get amazing waterfall views as this is deep down in a narrow gorge - but still worth seeing and cheap entry fee.
The grounds are very dated and not kept with the greatest care, but you also don't pay much to get in, so no problem! Some weird statue things you can stand behind and get your picture taken (for free).
While in the area, it's worth going over the road to the cave (a little bit more expensive, but when you hike to the bottom of it, you get to see the Devi's fall again - from behind. Still not a spectacular view, but you appreciate how deep underground the waterfall goes).

The water fall is flat but gigantic. Water flows in huge volumes and the splashes go as high as 25/30'. The water then travels underground towards the lake. A nice place to take family photos. The place also has a wishing-well & dropping a dime is worth a try to wish peace and luck.

Good place to visit. Went in Monsoon season, so falls quite full. Quite impressive. Good for a morning or afternoon. Can combine it with museum visit and/ or Tibetan village nearby.

Given that the falls take their name from a Swiss lady who was swept away in them and never seen again, I somehow thought that the falls would be more spectacular but I was disappointed. We didn't have enough time, being part of a group, to fully explore the tunnels next to the falls, but I believe it is possible to get down behind them (we were told this by a member of our group who had the energy to rush down and see this!) Make sure you wear a hat to protect your head when going into the tunnels/caves as they are quite low in places. Be aware, also, that you are not allowed to photograph some of the statues in the cave

It's not worth it if you have seen some falls before. The flow is not that good, and the settings is not attractive either. Was crowded, too.
