Straight from work, hopped onto a plane to a destination that I had neither planned for nor imagined - Nepal. All I did was book a trip with liv2lead and Mountain Quests and then just showed up. The rest was just taken care of. Met up with a great group of people, pampered by our trekking guide Nima coupled with rejuvenating yoga sessions by Livia. Nepal no doubt has picturesque mountains and scenic views to offer but what made the trip safe, enjoyable and special was because we were very well taken care of by our guide Nima lama from mountain quests and his trio.
We did only attempt to summit Poon hill, though all along the trek we made it sound like we were trying to summit Everest!!! It was all worth the broken limbs just to take in the breathtaking views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Nima was extremely patient, caring, tending to our every need and tolerating the nuances of us spoilt city brats. From carrying our bags, to entertaining us with the local music tunes blaring from an iphone to patiently waiting for us around the bend doing pushups on a log of wood, it was definitely a worthwhile experience he and his troupe provided us along with liv2lead. Would definitely recommend the experience.

Been to Poon Hill few times and when I reach here I always feel that I am out of this world. Amazing places with stunning views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayas. The climb early in the morning to Poon Hill is worthy even its freezing cold most of the time. The tea on the top of the view point is the best tea for me.
Good Luck!

What can i say, the hike was difficult for someone who is not in great shape, but well worth the uphill battle.
You can witness the peaks change color in the morning sun. It was hard to say farewell to them.

Use almost 2 days to climb up to the poon hill, a very tough trekking that I never try before. But it worth when you watch the amazing sunrise of Annapurna from poon hill

The trip up to Poon Hill is worthwhile. Expect however to walk up the hill in a file. The walk is quite steep but the views are worth it. We heard that most people don't have a great sunrise but the views itself compensate enough. because some cloud came to near us. and view of sun rice we missed
