We have booked as we do for all our booking through net only. We booked for A/C rooms. When we went to occupy the rooms after hectic journey from Kathamandu after visitng Manakanama temple on 15th April 2013 night 8 p.m, A/C rooms not provided. We stayed only for that night . Next day morning 6 a.m left to Jomson. We didnot make argument. When we came back also he provided same rooms( i.e on 17th April 2013). When we enquired his answer was that there is no difference betwen outside climate and room temparatue. Climate is cool. Why you required. Any way day time you are going out. Night will be cool. The owner argument is something like mad prson argument. Instead of saying sorry, not available or something he can say. We could have settled. Since he has argued no price difference, we wanted to penalise the person. Somthing he should learn or never in his management of 17 years service, what the owner says.

On the second point, we have to leave hotel after both morning 7 a.m to Pohra lake ride and to temple visit. From morning 6 a.m onwards calling the recepting for hot water. He said after 10 minuted will come. Almost one hour over. No hot water. What he mentioned in the facilities in the rooms. 24/7 hot water will be provided is a joke of the year. When we (3 families ) went and enquired to our surprise, the owner is trying to convince us saying that as the prvious day no sun light at all water will come after 10 a.m only. He has no curtesy of providing hot water through any other sources. Please take a note of the above two issues bofore booking the room. One more thing is food cost will be equivalent to 4 star hotel category. But services and talk will be I don;t think will be equivalent to 1 star category.

Room Tip: Better to be very clear before occupying the room. Don't expect the manager will fulfil the prom...

The Green Tara Hotel is OK. It has a rooftop-terrace with a good view of the mountains (if the weather allows it). The rooms are OK but with a tendency towards "basic". I stayed only one night and found a better place the next day. Prices are a little too high. I have seen this happening a lot recently: Hotels think they can charge more because they have a of good trip-advisor rating.

Room Tip: Take rooms at the front side. Back side rooms are close to a very noisy generator

I have stayed at this hotel three times. This year I was with several friends who had never been to Nepal before, and we all liked the warm welcome from Giri Prajol, the manager and his family. The hotel is situated at an easy walk to Lakeside attractions and restaurants but slightly away from the crowds and noise on an alley off the main road. The rooms are spotless and attractive, the beds reasonably comfortable, Giri-ji arranged several day tours for us; I would recommend especially th Peace Pagoda. The price is certainly reasonable for the amenities included, and the breakfast is typical but good. The view of the Annapurna Range from the roof is spectacular if you are as lucky as we were to see it the morning after a rainstorm cleared out all the smog!

Room Tip: Rooms at the end of each corridor have windows on two sides and are close to balconies.

Nice and safe place ... just on the main street of pokhara .. very lovingly managed by a friendly family, full of care ... very good prices and clean rooms ... do not expect anything too much, but for pokhara is above average ... the restaurant is good, especially when the wife cooks the typical Nepalese dishes ...

The front view of the hotel gives u a hint:vacation is coming~

Since rafting in Seti river is a must-go,but if u r a rockie in outdoor sports,or with inexperienced partners,Greentara is a good choice TO STAY,the GM would arrange everything with a very reasonable price~

although they don’t provide water heater which can be difficult to Chinese;).

Boys there with well manners, and helpful.MOST ROOMS with a good mountain view, more like a resort.

Another highlight about this hotel is the GM’s nephew is a 20-years-old experienced trekking guide and a sophomore in Physics in Pokhara University, which u don’t get to worry at communications,as long as you don’t go for 21days trekking,he could deal with every situation.A little reminder for gals:don’t drawn into puppy eyes~lol~he's taken~lol

Room Tip: watever u got gonna impress u~lol

I stayed there for four days. Though it is in Lakeside it is in off location. Prices are relatively expensive, conparing other hotel in main street of Lakeside.

I had terrible experiences during stay. The staffs are so biased and rude for Nepali citizens.

At first we were not to sure, as it is up an alley. But, once there we were very happy with our choice and the friendly staff. The room was very nice and clean. In the early morning we walked up to the roof for a spectacular view of the sunrise on the Himalayas. We then had breakfast which was a bit of a let down.
