To spend some days in Kathmandu is a very strong experience. The air of this city is satured of strong smells: spices, sweat, fatigue, sighs and hope. Animals' blood mixed to offers and prayers. A concrete spirituality fills of peace the dayly fight with poverty.
Nepalese people live for a short time, but they smile to you, they welcome you with kindness. They are always one step ahead in their silent and coloured struggle with survival. What a nice people, what a lot of respect and quiet dignity!
If you go there, what makes the difference is a good guide or a good friend, able to talk about everything and, at the same time, leaving to silence the most effective comment on what speaks by itself. Buddhi Prasad Bhatta [--] is the right person; he was the added value of our trip, showing and sharing with us (a group of experienced travellers) positive and negative aspects of nepalese capital, culture and people. And he made it with incredible involvement, care and joy.
