The price and the airport pickup was what got my attention. English speaking driver, sign in hand, a welcome relief. Rooms were mixed but cheap enough to warrant the 'deluxe' room. Travelled with 9 year old twins, staff very friendly. Arranged our travel arrangements pretty well. Really great location. Can leave luggage for months at no extra charge. STAY HERE

Room Tip: The floor level rooms are convenient but have a damp smell and a bit dark.

...yet it is not much...we got a room on top of the stairs for ten days this November 2012: we asked for a new clean blanket as what was found on the bed was simply inacceptable, there was no electricity from dawn to sunset, water was never warm enough to get a shower in winter, and the pipes in the bathroom had water dripping on the floor. The room was enough cleaned everyday (although the towels changed everyday they didn't smell soap, maybe they just changed room...) by nice and kind women while there was a relevant group of men stayng at the reception all day, whose main activity in the hotel is still unknown to us. On the whole the hotel is gloomy and it was not the kind of place we wished to go back after a day spent in the KTM Valley.

Staff is awesome. Not only did they give directions to great dining, one night a fellow joined us! We learned so much from the "local" perspective. He also found us a wonderful guide, complete with a comfy van to fit 8. Make sure you are happy with your room. The staff will listen and do all they can to help. The quiet respite from the crazy Katmandu buzz is welcome at the end of the day.

Room Tip: Get into one of the outer buildings.

Can across this hotel browsing through Tripadvisor reviews. Took a chance and booked it after multiple mail exchanges with Mr Ram. Glad to sat it turned out to be all I expected - good spacious rooms, beautiful garden, good food and very friendly behavior. Mr Ram arranged for the inhouse vehicle for a two day trip to Pokhara, along with a friendly driver. Overall, a great stay.
One area of improvement - wifi service. Not available in the 2 rooms I stayed in..had to come to the garden for any signal to be available.

Don't believe the pictures at all!!!
I was told I was upgraded to a better room, and I can't imagine what the original room would look like. My room was big and spacious, but that actually was a problem, because it's hard to get the room to warm up. The heating system they have gave us severe allergy and we left with a terrible cold from this place. I couldn't fall asleep because of the terrible allergies from the blankets and sheets and curtains that probably never get washed.
The tours they provide are the most expensive I've ever seen. More than US, Mexico, Turkey, Egypt and Europe. And for a poor country like Nepal, you would imagine to get good deals...forget it. They think everybody is loaded with money and they want to get every penny from you. Not even that, if you actually got service for the money, it would kind of be OK, but they tell you to get a driver for the whole day, but when you go out with the driver, the driver has his own itinerary, so he only takes to the places he wants to take you and if you finish his itinerary at lunch time, well, too bad for you, because he will tell you he took you everywhere he was suppose to take you and he won't take you anywhere else...Just a nightmare!!! I could go on and on...
Oh another very important thing, no wifi in the rooms. So you have to stay in the cold outside to get some signal...also all the rooms have holes around the window and doors, so it's just impossible to be warm...

Why stay here? For the newly renovated rooms, for the amazing garden dining area, for the great prices but especially for the welcoming atmosphere. The staff members are pleasant and work hard to make you feel part of the family. This was our second stay and we were welcomed back with open arms.

Room Tip: The newly renovated rooms are spacious.
