Looks great on the web-site! Garden is great and a fantastic treat after a day in the mad city. Rates are good but: Breakfast staff likes to argue when you want something special or a change the set menu - so I stopped having breakfast, wifi does not work in room, front desk staff not polite (they simply can't be bothered). Rooms are very dated. Most of the time during my stay no hot water and rusty water coming out of shower. They have a power generator for backup but dont switch it on often. All in all good for a very short stay but wont go there again! Main reason: Staff is not polite and does not make you feel welcome!

Room Tip: Located in a dark alley so you should be home before the sun goes down! Also if you need any drinks, snacks etc. there is a little store just opposite the hotel entrance - the gentleman is very nice and helpful and even has cool drinks. He is 100 times more friendly than anybody in the hotel!

The hotel is nice. It's a picturesque building with gardens and 5 or 6 storeys. However, it has two big drawbacks: it' a bit far from the main shopping streets, and at night that means walking along really dark and twisted streets. Also, I went there in winter, and although there is hot water all day, the heating system is awful, so I literally froze when I got out of the shower, and also during the night when the power in the city goes off, and this hotel doesn't use their generator (if they happen to have one, which I am not sure they do). It' s a pity not to recommend this place, because the owners are really nice and helpful, but after staying here I found a much better hotel for just a couple of extra dollars.

My favourite place in Kathmandu, I look forward to my next visit. The garden is very peaceful, the staff are friendly and the food is top quality. thanks again! The internet connection was also good enough for me to do my daily work.
Best place to visit out of town was Pokhara..

Booked for 4 nights, but when plans changed and wanted to stay 3 nights and use the extra night already paid for another night a few days later, they would not do it. Will not stay here again. Room was musty, and toilet did not flush adequately.
