Wonderful Serene Quiet and Private -
Truly wonderful to get out of KTM dust and chaos
Spa treatment was divine and staff was helpful in every way had massage and facial and treated extremely well DID not use pool or spa
Wifi was good- better if you paid to use in room obviously faster
Bathroom reminded me of a japanese bath style Wonderful to lay in and relax
Hot water could do with a boost but otherwise a lovely place to stay
Not cheap look for specials BUT well worth it especially as an escape from KTM if living in Nepal

Room Tip: quiet room looking out over grass area tucked behind 164 - so private and peaceful

Very friendly staff.
Lovely location and a great golfcourse.
Food a bit "boring" and tasteless, even if the menu looks very intresting.
Big rooms and bathrooms.
Bathroom outlay a bit strange with a big tiled bathtube.....strange and not very practical.
Cosy and familiar feeling, very relaxed athmosphere.

Room Tip: Not the third floor if you dont like monkeys to wake you up at 05.30 in the morning!

This is my 2nd stay at Gokarna. Stayed at Gokarna from 22nd Sep till 27th Sep. Check-in was superfast. I dont think it took more than 3 minutes. Got a room overlooking the lawn and tripti bar. Breakfast buffet had a good spread. Wifi connectivity at tripti bar was good. staffs are really helpful and everyone of them had a smile on their face. Club house ambience was really good. Will definitely visit again.

The hotels is very nice and the rooms are very spacious and good it is a haven away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. We went there for a relaxing holiday and it was but expected to be able to go for walks in the forest - well you can if you want to pay US$10 per hour per person well that defeated the purpose for us as we wanted to just wander sit when we felt like it did not want to pay for $20 an hour for someone to sit with us. There are no horse riding facilities any more and well the spa - went once but the mould on and around the spa bath jets put me off from looking at any of the other treatments. Overall the hotel is lovely and the food is good and the staff generally very helpful and pleseant - but forget using there tour desk over priced and hard to get info out of. Value for money if you get a good rate would not want to be paying the rack rate The monkies are fab.

Room Tip: Make sure you request a room with floor to ceiling windows so you can sit and watch the monkeys in t...

We started our stay as a couple then our children joined us the following day and together we enjoyed swimming in their heated indoor pool. We had the most restful stay even as we spent the day strolling the spacious resort and having a nature walk in the rolling golf course area. The room we stayed in had a very big bathroom! The suite had ample seating area other than the bed. They serve lunch and dinner inclusive of our package and of course buffet breakfast. We enjoyed their personalized service, the a la carte dinner tasted great. After dining, guests can leisurely pass the night away in the open area which was very cozy and romantic. For lunch we chose Thai cuisine from their golf course restaurant. We didn't mind walking a bit of distance from the room because we were refreshed by the fresh greens of the golf course. Just be wary of monkeys who are alertly attracted to food. They come visit the ground floor suites so keep your doors locked. Sometimes they also come to join you in your table while dining at the Thai restaurant.

Another favorite and reason to come back is their SPA. I've had other massage experiences in the main city of Kathmandu but getting a massage here is superb. One extra feature is the welcome foot dip in warm water, filled with relaxing aroma. I will definitely have a massage again!

Their staff are very accommodating and give their visitors' welfare such utmost priority. As much as we wanted to do the forest trail walk, they prevented us lest we get infested with leeches as it was monsoon season. For that we are grateful. They are not after the earnings for that added attraction. Better do that in the summer.

Because of the quality of our stay, we have recommended our friends to spend a restful retreat in this hotel.

Room Tip: Request for upper rooms if you do not like to see monkeys visiting.

The Resort is located a little distance from the centre of town is a great place to relax. There are ample trails to walk around in and is adjoiniung a great golf course. The Resort will arrange for a guide to walk you around the thick forest land surrounding it or through the Golf Course. Watch out for the leeches though as you walk through the forest. The bar is pleasant and there is a nice open dining. The Chinese restaurant overlooking the golf course is also a great place to relax. They tend to have many local 'groups' partying in the evenings and that can get a bit noisy. Food is Ok generally. The rooms are large with high ceilings. The property was apparently originally owned by the Royals of Nepal and it shows in the beautiful architecture.

I stayed at Gokarna in May of this year with family and friends. The overall environment at Gokarna was very calming and tranquil. The hotel and the surrounding forest was beautiful and well maintained. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and spacious as well. The hotel was situated away from the city and this gave us an opportunity to wind down and just enjoy all that the hotel had to offer. If you're a nature lover or want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the place to be.
