The hotel while not bad was also not good. It's a fairly large hotel (for Kathmandu) with about 100 rooms, however is aging and would struggle to qualify as an international 3-star standard business hotel. The hotel was very busy on the 1 night I stayed there as they had a large group checked in. The buffet breakfast the next morning was the most chaotic I have ever seen a breakfast buffet, and the food was somewhat below average.
The room was comfortable, however a few lights did not work, and the door lock did not work well. And this was in a suite since I got upgraded as they were full. Someone from my group had awful bed bug bites her whole body the next day. I had a few small red swellings on my legs as well although I'm not sure if mine were mosquito bites or bug bites.
If you want WiFi you'll have to pay, something like 400 rupees for 24 hours although you can also buy an hour's worth.
I have tried to be open-minded about hotel expectations given that this is Nepal, however I do think it's important for travelers to share candid comments with each other given that there are so many small hotels in Kathmandu and hardly any of the usual chain or recognizable international brand name hotels, making it difficult to select a hotel.
I stayed here as part of a group and package so don't know how much the hotel charged us, however I gather from the rack rates that they aren't cheap and you could definitely get much better, and much better value, elsewhere.
