We booked with Nepal Myths and Mountain Trails (NMMT) and can highly recommend this company. Every detail was covered with our questions before and during the trip answered promptly and efficiently. This was our first trek in Nepal; we are a couple in our 50’s who wanted to experience a mountain trek, Nepali people and the traditional tea house hospitality. NMMT tailor made our trek to suit our needs and time off work. We are only moderately fit and asked for it to be a challenge but safe, without high risk of injury. It was perfect. Our guide Chhongba Sherpa was so helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. We were met at the airport, driven to our hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara. The hotel in Pokhara was great (Dayatra Courtyard). The Hotel Manaslu in Kathmandu is a bit tired in comparison, but still really fine and given the total price we paid we are not at all disappointed. The tea houses are fun (and freezing!) Overall we can highly recommend NMMT and would love to use them again... they are small enough to offer personal service, but big enough to be serious about safety and get things done. Happy trekking!!!

We just came back from our second trek with Nepal Myths and Mountains Trails and thoroughly enjoyed it. Last year we did the Poonhill trek so this time we wanted something a bit more challenging. Pikey Peak was a good level for us, although we were unlucky with the weather which meant we had snow at the top and conditions were a bit more difficult than expected. Our guide and portas were extremely supportive and helpful through the toughest parts and we never felt unsafe.
The whole trip was very well organized - all connections went smoothly, management at NMMT were responsive to questions and the guide, Lhakpa, was experienced, friendly and able to judge the abilities of our group well and make adjustments to the trek as needed.
We would use NMMT again when we next go back to Nepal and would recommend to others.

This was my second trip with Nepal Myths and Mountain Trails. A colleague and I were in Kathmandu for business and only had a few days for a trek, so they recommended a 3 day trek from Chisapani to Dhulikhel. The views were stunning, and our guide Chhongba did a great job! He was very knowledgeable about the region, made adjustments to the trek as we requested, and made our trip fun. I would like to attempt to do a more difficult trek with them in the future.

I booked this trek through KIMKIM Website.
The trek was organized by Nepal Mythes and Mountain Trails.
I was completely unsatisfied with the way the trek was organized.
The guide, Chongba, gave me bed advises, such as to try to do the first mountain pass, even though, it was clear to all trekkers and guides, that the pass is closed due to ice.
Prior the trek, i asked the company, if i need to bring Satterlite, imargency phone, and crampons ( on my expenses).
I was told no need if crampons, and ni need for Satterlite comm. But during the trek, in the high places, there were no communication, and crampons were needed.
If something would have been go wrong, there was no way to call for heli !!
The guide was very unfriendly. At the end, i wanted to give a Tip, but he didn't come to say goodby !! After 13 days of being together.

To summarize, i for sure will nit take thus company again. I advised others, to considering to take this, Careless, irresponsibility, company.

Hi Moshe,
Many thanks for your comments. I am sorry that the trip did not fully meet your expectations. Please allow me to put my thoughts on this.
1) First of all, you should have told us that you have a hearing problem before. Your guide only found out about your hearing problem on the halfway of your trek. we were all unknown about your hearing problem.
2) At the time of your international arrival, we waited 7 hours for you which no others companies will do for their clients because of your flight got delayed but when you came out of the airport you start complaining to us. Your flight got delayed was not because of us.
3) We were always in contact with the guide and were prepared for any kind of emergencies. Yes in some places there are network problems but wifi was always available in the tea houses.
4) Normally, March is a good trekking season in Nepal and travelers do not require crampons for during the trek but sadly it snowed and there was a huge pile of snow in the passes. The guide suggested you buy crampons in Namche but you said that you already have crampons with you. I am not sure why are you complaining since you already had crampons with you.
5) During the trek, We were always in contact with your guide even when you decided not to do the high passes, I have told the guide to give you other alternative trek option but you said you want to come back to Kathmandu. We even paid for your 3 days accommodation in Kathmandu in a 3-star hotel in BB basis as per your request since you have arrived earlier from the trek.
6) Regarding your guide being unfriendly, first of all, he didn't know you had hearing problems because you didn't mention it to us before. As for farewell goodbye. That is done by our office representative not by the guide. if you wanted to give your guide the tip then you could have given it to him after you finish the trek or give it to Mr. Lakpa our office representative who came to drop off to international departure, he would have given it to your guide.

We always try to give the best service to our clients so they have the best memories when they return back home. Sadly it didn't go as per plan this time but that was due to bad weather and also you didn't tell us about your hearing problem.

I am sorry again for the inconvenience and I wish you all the best!

Best wishes,
Ngima

This is our second trip organised by Nepal Myths & Mountains and again, it was well organised and a great success. We chose to do the Khopra Ridge trek this time and avoid the higher altitudes. Ngima and his team were very flexible and we were able to amend our trek en route to take a slight deviation from the scheduled route, which enhanced the trek for us and gave us some wonderful addition views. We'll be back again.
