The villas of the resort are set in a beautiful garden with amazing views of the mountains. The views are just breathtaking. But that's about it. The room was a big disappointment - even though big, it looked old and with the dark carpet very worn out. The bathroom looked very old too. What was shocking was that hot water comes only at certain times - couple of hours in the evening and couple of hours in the morning. So if you return from hike in the afternoon, you can't take shower.

There is free WIFI in the lobby area.

The food was good. The manager was very attentive and professional, making sure that guests are being taken care of.

But, considering the price tag (90 USD), the rooms are definitely not worth it.

On the other hand - I have noticed that some of the villas are undergoing complete renovation. So when you are checking in, try to get one of the renovated villas.

I have seen the Himalaya multiple times, but this sweeping view is simply the best yet. Their garden ranks a close second in terms of spectacular viewing - a burst of color at every turn. The buffet dinner was delicious. There was not one South Asian dish in sight (a nice break for someone who lives in Nepal. - and don't get me wrong, I do love Nepali food!), and everything, I mean every single dish, was very, very good. If you order from their menu, try the vegetables au gratin from the vegetarian menu - excellent! The hotel is far from perfect - hot water is limited to certain hours, and the shower itself is not set up very well. Hopefully they'll turn on the central heating soon - I had a space heater only, which was fine for early November but won't be adequate as winter deepens, I'm sure. But those were minor complaints compared to the food, the view, the garden - loved it!

Stayed here as part of a tour of Nepal and while it's a great location it was the worst hotel of the whole holiday. The location is fantastic but that's it. The staff indifferent to their guests and were non-existent at breakfast. The food was of a poor quality and cold. A request for a vegetarian meal was met with incredulity - in Nepal of all places! Worst of all, their "animal garden" (as proudly described by the manager) is actually two poor deer shut up in a hut in the grounds - disgusting! Do yourself a favour - stay in Bandipur or Kathmandu instead.

The resort is good and the Himalayan view is spectacular especially if you have booked the rooms on the top floors. The rooms and the services are good. Though we happened to see two snakes in the room, it was a frightening sight . The food was fantastic.
I would actually recommend this resort.

Stayed there for 2nights in first week of June. It takes abt an hour from KTM airport. The place is quitely nestled at 5minutes drive from Dhulikhel town. The temp at this time of year was around 18-25deg C quite ambient. This place is nice for relaxation, as there is nothing to disturb your peace. The view around is of surrounding mountains. There are no shops/TV/Phones around so nothing to disturb. There is small trek to a local village and the resort itself have some walk around, which will give some outdoor activities. Otherwise good for a quite vacation with a nice book to read.

Me and my family stayed at this resort for 5 nights. We had a 3 year old with us and for the first time ever, we realized how vacations can go wrong by staying in a resort with no electricity for almost 15 hours of a day. There is no room service and the food was the worst, we had had in a long while. If you happen to be a lover of "momos/dumplings", do not ever consider having it from here. The nights can be very cold with no proper room heaters and taking a shower is a "risk"- you may end up with burns... Although not so severe, this did happen to my child. I have to say that the services are really over priced, and one may end up with the feeling that there is no value for money. We would have loved it, if the restaurant employees (waiters, managers, bartenders etc) interacted more genuinely instead of wearing the not-so-effective five star masks". All this said, it is still ideal for a quiet time with refreshing walks to the villages, beautiful views of the mighty Himalayas, starry nights, very peace loving people around, etc.
