Nice room, quite clean and decently sized. Breakfast is ok. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Only negative aspect is the wi-fi, which is with fee and does not work properly in the room (you need to stay in the lobby).

Stayed here for some days before a trek to EBS and again some days after 3 weeks in the Himalaya! Very good hotel in a narrow street away from all the noise in Katmandu. Friendly staff with good English knowledge!

Great rooms, exceptional service by well-trained, attentive staff. There are a lot of places out there that are expensive. Only a handful actually deliver. This place delivers in spades. Highly, highly recommended. But it's the location that makes it amazing.

I stayed here at the beginning and end of our trek to Everest Base camp. This jewel of a hotel is tucked away at the end of a small street. The staff is courteous, helpful and speak excellent english. We were allowed to store luggage for the three weeks were hiking. The rooms are clean, small and the beds ok. Wi-fi might be intermittent depending on your rooms location but is strong in the lobby and the lobby is a gorgeous place to hang out. We ate several meals in the garden restaurant which serves both Tibetan and Nepalese food. Should I have the opportunity to return, this is where I plan to stay.

My mom went to the Hotel Tibet . She said that that the rooms, food, and service were amazingly awesome ! She even got to meet the hotel owner who was very nice . There was always hot water and electricity always worked/never turned off .Its across an alley from the Radison which has great food too . There are also good shops within walking distance, especially Mahaguthi . I can't wait to visit there with my mom!

Room Tip: Choose a room on the front of the hotel .

Hotel Tibet is located fairly a stones-throw from the Raddison hotel in Kathmandu. The hotel tries to establish a atmosphere of tibetian culture and architecture, and are actually making it, at least in the lobby, hallways and stairways. Unfortunately the rooms were painted in a highly ugly colour and the bathrooms were drawing the thoughts to a 30-year-old budget hotel. We got a good rate for our stay and i would still see the hotel as a good place to spend overnight, since there are soooo many places in Kathmandu. It all depends on your demands and budgets!

I stayed at Hotel Tibet on the last evening of my trip. After having travelled across Nepal for 2 weeks it was lovely to find a clean and spacious room. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, they spoke a good level of English. The hotel also has a great travel service and will advise/organise trips to suit your interests. I strongly reccomend staying at Hotel Tibet if you are looking for a relaxing time but want to be close to Thamel which is buzzing.
Thank you for the great experience Hotel Tibet
