It was great to see the architecture however we were disappointed that the buildings had not been well maintained.

“Historical area with good museum”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

This is a lovely area to visit in Kathmandu. One learns and sees a lot about what Kathmandu must have been like centuries ago. The architecture is lovely and an audio tour is available to give more information. Most definitely worth the visit!

“nice place”
Reviewed March 26, 2014

It was a little crowded, so many locals, especially youngsters passing time sitting in the stairs of temples, it was really nice experience..

“one of the most historical spots in KTM”
Reviewed March 18, 2014

This is the old royal palace and full of historic buildings and a museum. Really gives you a feel for what Kathmandu was in the old days. I visited it twice during my recent visit to Nepal, it's a good place to hang out and watch the activities.
