Well, the Hotel per se is excellent.
The bad stuff:
Yet, what is misleading is the bathroom, while it looks very spacious in the pictures, in reality it is quite cramped. Yet, its convenient.
The passages are quite dimly lit making it look strange and dingy with a pretty old lift.
The good stuff:
The quality of staff, service and amenities is at par with luxury. The buffet breakfast at the hotel has a good spread with a live counter for omelettes and pancakes, though the local cuisine has been ignored. It would be good to have some nepali delicacies in the buffet, considering that the hotel has a history as a palace.
Location is also good as it is close to Thamel and you get taxis with a 2 minute walk from the hotel (Don't forget to bargain on the fare though)
Overall a good experience.More
