Stayed at the hotel twice in the last month. Both times in the new building, following advice from fellow Tripadvisor reviewers. QUite satisfied in general. The rooms were of mixed quality. Last time I had to change rooms because the AC in the first room didn't work properly and it was very noisy. The rooms facing the little street are going to be noisy because drivers in Nepal (as in India) believe that honking their horn every second will lead to enlightenment. So make sure to stay in a room facing the courtyard. The breakfast in the new building is OK. Would have preferred porridge not to have the texture of a soup. and some scrambled eggs would have been nice.
The WiFi is flaky. Need to reconnect all the time. Also, when coming with 3 devices (like most people do these days - a laptop, a smartphone and a tablet), asking for 3 access numbers for the internet was not well received. After some begging and pleading, managed to get 2.
But overall, it is a nice oasis in busy Kathmandu and I will most likely stay there again on my next trip in a couple of weeks.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing the street, lots of honking horns and traffic noise outside.

I was here for work and was organizing an event. Their catering charges were so outrageous that we ended up walking to the neighborhood quickie mart and bringing juices and wine back to the hotel. I also needed reliable internet and to make some photocopies, and the hotel charged an arm and a leg for those.

Other than this, the hotel itself was clean and coped relatively well with power outages (they have a generator that kicks in in about 30 seconds -- too long if you're in the elevator!). The views from the rooftop are the best part - make sure you take the stairs up there to take a peek, and bring your camera.

Staff that work at the Radisson are the best. Great customer service everywhere in the whole place. They areso nice.

The first night I was in the main building. The AC doesn't work there and I was in 2 different rooms. They are clean except for the cockroaches. I saw 3 cockroaches during my 3 night stay. Yuck.

I moved to a suite in the other building for the last night, which I highly recommend. It was a beautiful suite, very clean, big bathroom, very comfy bed compared to the other building, and quieter.

The breakfast buffet is great. And service in the restaurant is also superb.

Its about a 10-15 min walk to Thamel on a busy road.

Stayed in this hotel for three nights (the first day we arrived Nepal and last two days before leaving Nepal). First night with this hotel I was staying in 4th floor, and two other nights I was given a room at 7th floor.

1) The location of hotel is great, easy access to convenient shops & some local specialties shops.
2) Hotel check-in is fast and delivered luggage shortly after we entered our room.
3) Design of the room is basic & simple, yet it's clean.
4) Bathroom isn't spacious, yet it's acceptable.
5) Hotel provides free WIFI to the guests, however, there is barely connection when you're staying in higher floor room.
6) There are plenty choices of foods in the hotel's daily buffet breakfast. Some of the Nepalese foods are delicious.

In overall, this hotel is considered one of the finest accommodations in Kathmandu.

The hotel is situated between a good view of mountains. The amenities are awesome, specially the roof dining. The food quality and room service is good too. The buffet was good. Overall I am very happy after the stay here, the sight seeing tour arranged by the hotel people is economical and worth. Thank you

Room Tip: Choose the rooms on the 6th floor

I had previously been a student in Nepal, so I was definitely used to much simpler accommodation in Kathmandu before staying at the Radisson. However, I was returning to Nepal in a business/professional capacity, so I needed to stay in a hotel that was comfortable, centrally located, and most importantly, had reliable internet access. I was lucky to get a room in the "new building" and it had many nice features, including a desk and chair, sitting chair, comfortable bed/bedding, and modern bathroom, including speakers in the bathroom so I could listen to the news while I showered in the morning! I found the staff to be extremely helpful and accommodating, though it is accurate to say there were times when there were not enough staff at the reception desk to deal with all of the guests in a expedient manner. The gym was decent and the food was also quite reasonable for "hotel food". The only drawbacks I would mention are that the hotel is a little expensive (though the high tax rates are a problem for all services in Nepal in my opinion), and as others have mentioned, the road construction makes the nearby road very dusty and slightly unpleasant to walk along. However, I really enjoyed my stay and it provided exactly what I needed for a business trip - I could walk in to town, but also get a good driver to take me all over the city; the food was perfectly decent; and it felt like a little oasis when I returned from my meetings.

I was travelling with a group and reception was so disorganised that nearly 2 hours was lost while rooms were arranged. We were staying in the annexe which looked the best option. The food was good but a little too western for our taste. The rooms were ok but could be prone to passing traffic. Certainly no where near the standard expect from Radisson
