“Excellent stay after trekking”

We stayed at the Radisson Kathmandu for 4nights in the new wing. The check-in formalities were done efficiently and we got to our room quickly. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast spread was good. The location of the hotel is also ideal for sightseeing around Kathmandu. The only thing they need to improve is the wifi access which requires daily change of password and I'd. Overall, we had a good stay in this hotel.

Room Tip: Book a room in the new wing as they are well furnished.

Nice hotel in Nepal. Staffs are very friendly and active to customer. This hotel provides free wifi service, but internet connection is poor. Generally speaking, everything's good except no hot water sometimes and poor internet service.

+ The hotel was full and the only available room was a suite. Luckily, the hotel gave us a good price for it and we are very thankful and will be staying again at Radisson Hotel for sure in our next visit. Thanks to Jeevan!

+ good breakfast/food - so much variety

+ the happy hour (from 5:30 pm - 7:30- pm) unlimited food and drinks were incredibly wonderful (exclusive for suite accommodations, though). It makes you forget completely some of the traumatic tea house experience with food!

+ professional and accommodating staff most especially Jeevan at the reception. For the first time or for a very few times, he tried to talk not only to my Spanish husband (which is what usually happens when we check in a hotel - like Hotel Parador in Santiago, Spain; Shangri-La in Makati, Manila; Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and almost everywhere else.) but also TO ME (Asian) telling us about the happy hour, the time for breakfast, etc. And I appreciate that very much, Jayvee. For the rest of the hotels, they made me feel like I didn’t exist, if I did, I didn’t count to them.

+ A staff (Jeevan) arranged for us a free shuttle bus service to the airport even though it was not in the schedule.

+ My husband left his wedding ring in the hotel and the hotel management sent someone to the airport with the ring. Thanks again, Jeevan and to that staff who brought the ring to the airport. My husband failed to get his name.

+ with a bathtub
+ with good hot water supply
+ with generator
+ nice and ample lighting
+ very clean room and toilet that I didn’t mind sitting on the bowl for the first time in Nepal
+ with heating and air-conditioning system
+ Super king-sized bed
+ 2 big TV sets with English channels
+ 2 toilets
+ beautiful and shiny wooden floor
+ not smelly water
+ very spacious and creatively decorated rooms with amazing carpets, colorful bed runner and thick curtains keeping the room dark
+quiet
+ white and clean towels, bathmats and bed sheets
+ many shops and restaurants nearby

- Quite heavy duvet
- Yellowish water (is obvious in the bathtub)
- Olives Garden restaurant staff had a few things to improve: getting the used plates first before serving the next course and pulling the chair out for a lady costumer first. But in totality, they were all very efficient and friendly. We enjoyed our food.

I liked this hotel, whilst the rooms are small they are nicely decorated and have everything you would need. The location is good as it is down a quiet street so no noise at night, however there are plenty of tourist shops and good restaurants right on your door step-much cheaper than the hotel and nicer, its a nice walk and the shop owners don't pester you and we never felt unsafe in this area. Most attractions are at most a 15minutes drive away. We ate at one of the restaurants in the hotel one night and it was OK nothing special if you can i would recommend to go to Chinatown restaurant which is a 2minute walk away.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Radisson and would return. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The location is good, it’s slightly back off the main road and close to Thamel. I had two rooms during my stay; the first was in the annex across the entrance from the main building and the second was in the main building. The room in the annex was five star, it was spotless, slickly designed, the bed was incredibly comfortable. In the main building the room was closer to 3 stars, clean and utilitarian, my only complaint is that the bed could have been more comfortable. I guess you get what you pay for as the rooms in the annex are more expensive (I was there because they were booked in the main building) however the room in the main building was quieter and had a better view.

From the moment I was greeted at the Airport by the your hotel shuttle, to the final ‘have a nice day sir’ by the door man. I had a great stay.

My room was perfect, clean, modern, and well appointed, and the welcome gift and the nighty cookies were a pleasant surprise. Very friendly staff.

The breakfast buffet was the finest buffet I had in Nepal. And the staff made sure I had everything I needed, including the best coffee in Nepal. The fourth floor Terrace is a great place to meet for an afternoon or evening snacks or drinks.

I will return.

you cannot fina a better place in Kathmandu! you should really opt for a suite in the newly built annex or in the "old" hotel, the you get acess to the lounge, which has very comfy sofas, and great old pictures of the royal family, not to mention excellent service. The Corner bar, has a live band that does great covers of Pink Floyd, sounds just like them. Breakfask is superb, make sure you try the omellett "with everything". And I can also recommend the traveldesk, the lady who works there will bend over backwords to satisfy your evey needs in sightseeing and transtortation needs.
