All that you would expect of a Hyatt Regency. The morning buffet included both eastern and western foods. Security was evident everywhere. The rooms were clean and spacious. Service was excellent. They have a bus that takes you to an assortment of places that tourists want to see for free. You have to take a taxi back which is about $5 US. Money from the USA is taken everywhere.

Room Tip: It does get noisy early in the morning as those tourists who have booked a morning flight to see Mount Everest leave their rooms.

This was a lovely hotel in a great location. You can walk to the Stupa, and there is a large supermarket opposite, where all on our tour seemed to buy McVities biscuits! The rooms were great, and the staff attentive. A great place to stay.

Loved it! Beautiful building, one with character. Excellent staff and first class food. Decor was in a traditional theme. Superb rooms and bathrooms. Lovely and quiet, difficult to believe that a few minutes down the drive it is total madness!! Easy to walk to the Boudhanath Stupa, took our breath away when we saw it!
In February the pool is freezing but the jacuzzi was lovely.

What a beautiful property all the way around. Friendly staff, beautiful finished wood decor. Huge lobby indicative of history found all around the city. Great restaurant downstairs with first class service. We heard good reviews about the other restaurant upstairs too but didn't try it. We had a problem with our room being too warm and rather than troubleshoot it with me on the phone, they sent someone within 5 minutes to show us the adjustment that needed to be made to our thermostat and the reason behind it. Hardest shower EVER.

Room Tip: Ask for a room above the 5th floor on the "stupa" side and you have a wonderful view of the famous landmark.

Beautiful hotel, excellent service, fantastic food. The staff were all perfect, and couldn't do enough for you.
The bed was really comfortable and the views from our room were superb - straight onto the pool and the well tended gardens. You could walk through the gardens to the nearby Boudhanath Stupa, and if you went back out through the main gate, there was a supermarket across the road (where the wine was considerably cheaper than the hotel!). We found Kathmandu to be a lot cleaner than India, although crossing the road was still a matter of taking your life into your own hands! You could of course get transport from the hotel.
