We stayed in this hotel twice - for two nights before our trek and again for a night afterwards. It is conveniently located near the Boudhanath Stupa and the airport. We had dinner at the hotel one night and the food was very good. I don't think any rooms face the street so in spite of being on a busy street, we heard no traffic noise at all. Best of all, the service was excellent and the staff was very friendly, courteous and professional. Based on our two stays, I would say this hotel deserves its Trip Advisor award. We would certainly stay there again.

Chose this hotel as last nights, close to Bouddhanath, and it was recommended by our tour operator. Great room, nice showers, the terrace is great, lovely outlook. Nice welcome to hotel and very friendly. Breakfast plentiful and good. Great place to get all sorted before our departure from Nepal

This was our first visit to Nepal and my wife and I stayed at the hotel for five days. We arrived early morning around 8 ish and unfortunately there were no rooms available until lunch time. We were treated to a complimentary breakfast and a suggestion that we visit the local attraction, the Boudhanath Buddhist Stupa. Breakfast is served on the roof and there is an excellent selection of fruit, cereals and either European or local dishes. A chef is on duty to provide fresh eggs in whatever form takes your fancy. All the staff are courteous and go out of their way to make ones stay a pleasure. We made the trip to the Stupa and then returned to be served tea and were then taken to our room. It was spacious with all mod cons and a large comfortable bed plus a reasonable amount of storage space. The restaurant for dinner is on the first floor and there is a good international menu. As we generally find that the "local" food is the best we worked our way through the Nepali/Indian/Chinese part of the menu and could not fault any of it, though I did feel that the specialty Nepalese hotpot was overpriced for what it was. They say it takes hours to prepare! There is a spa available and the massage is to be recommended. Overall it was a most enjoyable stay and after d days sightseeing it was a pleasure to return to. It is situated just out of the centre of Kathmandu but as we were not particularly interested in visiting Thamel in the evenings it provided a perfect centre for touring. Everybody we met who had stayed at the hotel had nothing but praise for it. They ask you to nominate members of staff who have been particularly helpful but as they do not wear name tags and, at 70, trying to remember names is a problem. It could also be argued that all the staff make the same effort to ensure ones stay is a pleasure.

Our room was quite small in the B block, restaurant on the 6th floor had outdoor terrace with views over the town.Breakfast choice of food was more than adequate, and choice was much better than other hotels we stayed in.However the beds were very hard and same applied to pillows

Room Tip: try to get one of the bigger bedrooms , ours was to small

What a wonderful welcome and a wonderful start to our stay in Nepal. Our room was spacious, very quiet and wonderfully decorated.

The breakfast buffet was delicious and full of variety. What a great place with wonderful service and hospitality.

Highly recommended!

We chose Tibet International Hotel for the location next to Boudhanath (and airport) as we had two, one night stays between trips. Having been sleep deprived in a marginal hotel in Pokhara we were over the moon at our welcome - the gorgeous room (and oh so quiet) and fabulous food. On our return two weeks later we were welcomed back "home" which was delightful.

The hotel is beautiful with hand painted Tibetan details and carvings - and lovely rooms with luxuries that you can't always find when travelling - fluffy white towels, hot water and electricity! The rooftop restaurant has not only good food but has a stunning view of Kathmandu and overlooks the Boudhanath Stupa (which was 5 minutes walk away). It was an excellent end to a wonderful trip to Nepal - thank you!

We arrived to visit our family in Nepal but due to not having purchased a bed for our home, we where required to spend the night in a hotel. The lovely owner of the hotel offered us a room, which we gratefully accepted. We where surprised at the size and quality of the room. Not only well equipped but lovely and clean, with no noise coming in from the traffic below. Thank you so much to Madam for your gracious offer, but also to the friendly and caring staff we encountered.Would recommend this hotel to visitors to Kathmandu, a taste of Nepal all in one location, which is right opposite the largest Stupa in the world.
