A lovely small, open air restaurant/cafe in Kamel. Our hotel owner recommended this as it was near our hotel. We had only planned to have a very quick meal on our arrival in Kathmandu as we were both very jet-lagged from a long journey from England. However, the atmosphere was so friendly that we found ourselves still there after over three hours. The owner speaks excellent English and is very welcoming and friendly. During our visits we tried an number of different dishes from Nepalese, Chinese and continental and we were never disappointed. Prices are very reasonable. On the one occasion we did eat elsewhere, not only were we disappointed with the atmosphere and quality of food but we were over charged at the end to the extent that we found ourselves always returning to the Hi Peace Garden Restaurant. Would thoroughly recommend
