This is a really nice place to stay in. Away from the dusty and busy city with a nice view of the hills and really quite. Park Village resort is something you should consider. There is a nice Vishnu temple where the idol is in the middle of a small water body.

Unfortunately only Hindus are allowed into the sacred centre of the temple, but one gets close enough for good pictures. The sleeping Vishnu ist really beautiful. There is a small market outside, with delicious samoosas and pakoras. Trip by car from the city centre ist 30 minutes.

This is unique temple where you get see God Vishnu's idol in a sleeping position in the small water body, which is very rare. Though the maintenance is not very good the place is worth a visit once.

Here is where the king of gods, Vishnu, has its most beautiful temple. The statue of the god is a huge and black block on which thousands of flowers and candles are offered every day. All around devotees and priests go about their worship.

It's a very important place from the religious point of view but not as much interesting for non-believers. The statue itself is surrounded with quite a big fence and if you are not Hindu you won't get the opportunity to approach it and take a photo. The surrounding area is also not that much interesting, with residential buildings and some market stalls offering religious items mostly. If you are in Kathmandu for a short visit only and you are not that much interested in Hindu religion then you can skip this place.
