We stayed at the Thamel eco-resort before and after our trek to the ABC. The location could not have been more prime, since its in the heart of Thamel (the main tourist hub). Though it's at of the most busiest locations, once inside the property, its calm and quiet. The rooms are very tastefully done up and the staff is courteous and warm. The breakfast spread was also very professionally laid and managed and most importantly the whole premises is clean and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the place and would definitely recommend it for adventure/ religious/ leisure travelers in Kathmandu.

We stayed in the Eco Resort Hotel following our climb in the Himilayas. This a newly renovated hotel and all the amenities are here. The rooms are modern and well appointed. We have stayed in other hotels in Kathmandu in past years but the Eco Resort Hotel is the most comfortable and best located for enjoying the sights of the city particularly the Thamel market. Breakfast is included in the price so you are getting great value. The staff could not be more helpful. Many trekkers are staying here before and after their adventures in the Himilayas so there are always people to meet and the Hotel has a very comfortable feel to it. I highly recommend this Hotel.

This is definitely the best hotel I've had the pleasure of staying at in Kathmandu. It is brand new and very clean. Everything is top notch. Service is great. Price is excellent as well. I would recommend everyone coming to Kathmandu stay here.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice here!

It was a joy to check into the hotel - especially after a long trek. Great beds, perfect location for excellent restaurants, and the staff were very friendly and knew what my teenagers were up to most of the time (sleeping). Safe and helpful.

I stayed at the Thamel Eco Resort after returning from an Everest Base Camp Trek with Makalu Advenures and Trekking Encounters, (both also highly recommended). The hotel was situated just off the main street so great for shopping etc but away from the hussle and bustle. The rooms were spacious, spotless, comfortable, secure and also had a great selection on television. The food was also good. The service was exceptional, e.g we asked where we could use a computer to copy some photos onto a pen drive andf they replied by sending a laptop to the room! You can't ask for more than that. Good bunch of guys aswell. Many thanks to Mohan! One last thing, don't let the low ranking on the popularity index put you off. Its a new hotel so the review count is low but as you can see all the reviews reflect what a great hotel it is.
