Perched on top of the hill you have a choice of tracking up or driving up. It is a long heavy climb recommended for the fittest. The view from the top is thrilling. Be careful of the monkeys as they are a menace and do not feed them. Do spend a few quite moment at the prayer hall. It is relaxing. The sputa gives a great background for a photo shoot.

The monkeys are scary and the temple seems to have lost its charm. Don't get me wrong, the views are amazing and the architecture is interesting but as a spiritual place it felt like much more a tourist attraction. A shame but still none the less worth a visit for some good photos.

Every city needs a point to eagle eye out the city and this is it for Mandu. Nice little climb, good views and there is a hill behind it. Overall, so-so

Given the importance of this site and the number of people out for religious observances, the hill-top location absorbed these and the accompanying tourists with ease; allowing for a restful walk amongst the stupas and temples and permitting a detailed inspection of the carvings.

Inevitably a local street market has built up but the vendors were friendly and approachable without being a hassle.

Stunning with great views over Kathmandu.
Not too many pushy vendors on the way and the place feels fairly relaxed and inviting.
Also a good workout up the stairs ;)
