“Worth a worship”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

This temple is a must must place to visit in Kathmandu. People continuously chanting prayers in Tibetan language. You will see a lot of monks around here also kind enough to take photos with you. The whole ambient is very peaceful. I also came across huge crowd of monks chanting loudly and walking around the whole stupa along with people following them. We also went on the rooftop pretty close to the huge doom for an ariel view. I just wished the surrounding area of city could have been a little less crazier but all together it was an awesome experience.

“Must see in Kathmandu”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

Definitely on the list of "must see" in Kathmandu and worth the visit. Join in with the crowd as they walk around the Stupa. We went twice, once during daylight and once at night; two different experiences.

If there is a downside it is the commercial presence that surrounds the Stupa.

Interesting Buddhist site. The best part is watching people pour new paint on the stupa. They do it all the time

“An amzing place of worship in heart of City”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

During sight seeing the first place we visited was Bodhnath Stupa. The entrance of this Unesco world heritage site is rather unique in the midst of market..But once you enter your mind is soothened with great monument...Lot of people were seen taking parikarma of this round stupa..The architecture is marvellous..Lot of pigeons were seen in one enclosure was a sight to watch... All aound there is a small market with eating places...

“Boudhanath”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

This is a cultural experience that is fun and enjoyable. Boudanath is a white buddhist temple located in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is one of the oldest buddhist temples in the Kathmandu Valley. Once there you will find local vendors who are approved to be there by this stupa and have a variety of great items. No matter what spiritual or religious background, you have to visit this peaceful historic temple. Bring your camera!
